Don’t expect to use out of the box.
This is an inferior product. The cast used to make it doesn’t make tightening the blade very effective. I had to purchase different nut and washers than cane with it. A good ice shaver depends on the blade sharpness and placement. This products blade doesn’t even qualify as a blade because it had a curved edge and the hole for adjustment wasn’t even centered. If you don’t want to craft this into a usable tool don’t buy it. I only gave it two stars because after the work I put into this it worked well. Other people shouldn’t be burdened right out of the box.

Don't buy!
This flimsy metal shaver did not work as expected and barely was able to shave any ice off the block. The blade was rusty on arrival.
