Lots of potential and the right price.
Love the kit. It IS plastic, but I lined it with balsa wood so it would give birds some heat and cold relief. I also added card stock that looks like wall paper! It was heavier with these additions, but opted to use other review's suggestions to make sure it stays put. Had tons of fun decorating it!

This birdhouse was a birthday gift for my niece. She was really excited to get it. It comes with everything you need to get started. My only gripe is that it's plastic, which may have been my error in reading. It's really not an issue, though.

Not what I expected.
There is no "spy" with this birdhouse. The film they claim is mirrored on one side isn't. It is clear. The birds will be able to see you as well as you can see them. However, I have not had one bird in the birdhouse or in the feeder that is included. Don't waste your money.

Not entirely what I expected but I love the concept
Well first of all I didn’t realize this was made of plastic. I guess that makes sense since being more lightweight helps it to stick onto the window. The plastic is pretty thin so I don’t know how well it will hold up outside over an extended period of time. The assembly instructions are clear and easy to follow (there’s really only a couple of steps. I used the suction cups but I’m worried about how long they will hold. They do have double sided tape as well but I didn’t want to use it if I don’t have to so I’ll see how the suction cups hold up first. Here’s what I am disappointed in:The two way mirror this is supposed to have to allow you to see the birds without them seeing you is actually a thin film you stick on the inside of the window. I thought the plastic you stick on the back of the birdhouse would be the mirror but instead it’s this super thin film that you can clearly see through no matter which side you look on. I don’t see how they wouldn’t be able to see you looking at them. The instructions say to put this up between february and march since that is when birds typically nest. This is not necessarily the products fault but I wish I had know that since right now it is the beginning of July so we have a long way to go before we’ll really be able to see anything. We did put up the bird feeder it came with next to it. It also suctions to the window so I’ll be interested to see how well it holds. Hopefully we’ll at least be able to see some birds via the feeder but so far no luck. The picture makes it look like it comes with a big bag of birdseed. Mine came with a small bag that looked like it had only been filled about ¼ of the way. Expect to have to buy birdseed if you want to use the feeder. It’s hard to say at this point how great a product this is since we are so far away from nesting season. Overall I like it and am excited to hopefully see some birds come our way. I’m giving it 4 stars because of the film that I expected to be something better quality. I love the concept of this and hope it works! I received this product in exchange for my honest review which is what I have provided.

Suction cup on feeder already failed.
Put the feeder and house up yesterday (following instructions, a bit of water on each suction cup on a just-cleaned window), and today I happened to be looking out the window as a very small bird (wren?) landed on the top of the feeder.... And it went crashing down to the ground. It seemed to be firmly secured when I put it up, maybe it's because of extreme heat (just under 100 degrees today) that the suction cups don't work too well? I have suction cup soap holder in my showers that stay up months at a time, so not sure if this is an issue with the suction cups being weak, but I can nudge the house and feeder up and down when they're supposed to be stuck on, unlike the ones in my shower, they're stuck well in place. I'm hesitant to keep the birdhouse up, I certainly don't want it to go crashing down with baby birds in it. It does come with adhesive strips so I'm pondering whether or not I want to use them or just abandon using the bird house and feeder altogether.Disclaimer: ***I received the product free or at a discount in exchange for an honest review.*** My reviews only need to be HONEST, I do not get more or better offers if I write only good reviews. I've written a few 1-star reviews, I count on Amazon reviews in my decision to purchase products & if I dislike a product, it doesn't work for me, or I believe it is low quality, I will honestly post my opinion/experience.
