They fit, they work, and they're cheap.
When the cheap sheetmetal retainer on one wheel of my cheap Chinese handtruck failed, I knew I had to do something, and fast. So I did nothing. For over a year I let the handtruck sit where the miserable wheel fell off. For five seasons it sat, rusting, all the while mocking me. A quick visit to the website of the store where I bought it showed me that the manufacturer long ago upgraded the design of my cheap Chinese handtruck, abandoning cheap sheetmetal retainers and plastic caps for washers and cotter pins. So I turned to my ally of all things with a price tag, Amazon. Imagine my surprise when I found these cheap Chinese parts that could fix my cheap Chinese handtruck! Who'd a thunk it? A day later my handtruck is back in fully operational condition and I have only the Chinese and Jeff Bezos to thank. But especially the Chinese.

a good product.
WARNING! These will not slip over a 5/8 " cold rolled axle shaft without some modification. At first I thought they were sized in metric sizes since they are Chinese made. I was fabricating transport wheels for a disk harrow, and they worked well to retain and position the wheels on the axle shafts. I used automotive wheel cylinder hones to enlarge the inside diameter to make them fit over the shaft and dressed down the shaft with emery cloth and a flat rasp. Using a driver made of iron pipe and lots of lube, they went on kind of tight, but served my purpose. I finally realized that to fit over a 5/8 dia. axle shaft, the keeper must be a few thousandths larger than the shaft. I imagine you could heat them with a torch before installing also. You will need a 4mm allen to tighten the set screws. Overall, a good product.

Perfect for my needs
These collars were perfect for the wheel replacement I just did on my wife's garden wagon. The hardest part of installing them was getting the OLD wheels off the wagon. From there, just slid them on to the axle, slightly tightened so I could adjust the replacement wheel to the appropriate distance from the hub nut. So far, the collars' holding good.

Well made but difficult to slide on a long shaft
The problem with a collar on a long shaft is the shaft or spindle is often not manufactured to exacting specs. And, sliding a collar down a shaft demands the shaft is true. So, after struggling with shafts or spindles that were not true to the specs, I opted to get split collars.

Great quality replacement for compression nuts
These worked perfectly for replacing a garbage toter's wheels. I replaced the cheap plastic blow-molded wheels with some actual rubber-tired wheels but wanted something more significant than the compression nuts to hold them in place. I haul my toter like a trailer for a total of 1/2 mile each week and these were the perfect solution. They fit perfectly and precisely on the axle - no play at all and the set screws had no issues (some are softer metal and you can tell by how the hex key fits).

Too tight on my furniture dolly.
I bought these because I thought they would be easy on easy off. However the shaft clearance is so tight that I had to pound them on. I Should have sanded the (little bit) of rust off the shaft and added some lubricant but I still think they’d be tight. 2 of the four had missing set screw but didn’t need the screw anyway!)

Easy to install, I applied loc-tite so not to lose set screw.
Easy to install. Looked at Lowes for replacement axle spring clip for moving dolly, no luck. Amazon had the axle nuts. GREAT BUY.

The locks are great quality, and the set screws hold tight
I bought these to use with a 5/8" zinc rod from HD so I could make an axle for my welding cart. The locks are great quality, and the set screws hold tight, though I added some thread locker to be safe. The only issue was the fit of the collars over the rod. I had to bore them out slightly to get them to fit, but once they did they were perfect. Minimal effort for a great finished product
