you can really tell the difference from a cheap patch panel and this one. If your willing to shell out the extra bucks well worth it. Professional grade.

I've installed this patch panel in both residential and small business settings. Nice size and easy termination.

Easy and neat install but the cover does not sit secure

This is a more expensive wall mounted patch panel than most you will find. The difference is that the punchdowns are front-facing, so you DO NOT have to dismount the entire unit and turn it over, and fumble around with it in the air in order to add a new connection. As a result, existing connections are not disturbed (read BROKEN) while you fiddle with it. That alone makes it worth the extra cost. The front cover removes easily, and will slide over your existing cables, provided you have left enough slack in the cables to do so.

I buy a lot of these and they never let me down

Good quality plastics, mounting stuffs. Problem is the punch down pinch sections have really no give so if you have random wires from god-knows-where that you need to puch down, it may require far far more work than necessary. I've used other units that did have more give and were easier to puch-down. Whether or not this means quality is up to the consumer but I hate having to spend an hour making sure each punch is actually making contact!
