Perfect for my needs!
This mini-chete is great for what I need. I am a hunting guide, I often find myself in situations where I need to drag an animal out of the thicket and onto a trail to be picked up by one of our ranch vehicles. So I need a tool to cut myself a path to do so with… a chainsaw would be great lol, but for obvious reasons, not practical. So a machete is, more or less, my best option. I have tried several different machetes, but they’ve always been too long/short/light/heavy… I need to make my gear as light and as minimal in size as possible, ‘every ounce counts when you’re trekking for 10+ hours sometimes’! So this lil guy has been perfect for me. Small enough and light enough to carry in my pack, but the weight is distributed perfectly for it to make efficient cuts in tight areas. Oh and did I say SHARP?! It’s made from a simple piece of flat iron that the maker filed down and sharpened the s*** out of! Resharpens very easily! Will probably carry this thing for a long time…until I lose it in the woods somewhere!Thank ya

Soft steel
Thick heavy metal, looks well constructed. Feels nice in the hand. But the steel is not very durable or hard. This is supposed to be hardened carbon steel yet even after just a few rope cutting tests; the edge of the steel rolls and needs to be rehoned. Even making feather sticks from lightweight pinewood rolled the edge with very minimal pressure. I have had mild steel DIY blades that didn't roll this easily. Not sure if this is hardened steel. Looks good and feels good, but not so sure about the still being with it is claimed to be either that or it was not properly heat treated.

Good blade, terrible handle
Just received this knife and am quite surprised, not in a good way.The blade need sharpening but that is nothing compared to the rough, cracked handle and sharp edged handle butt.Given all the great looking knives on their web sight and some, although not that many, positive reviews, I had high expectations. This were dashed once I removed the piled plastic wrap, to discover the drill it blow out on one side of the handle at each rivet hole. Then there is the handle butt, the very end of the “1095” steel blade tang, with edges sharp enough to leave you with a very sore palm after light use ( gloves required!).Given their return policy ( I should have checked that first thing) Iam stuck with this knife,The fix for the knife butt won’t be difficult but to get a more comfortable handle will take much rework.BTW, no way is this plastic handle any sort of “horn” or bone, what a joke.As the saying goes, buyer beware.

The blade is twisted
I would like and try to sharpen it but there is no point with a twisted cutting edge.
