Nice bit of kit and does the job
I bought this a year ago anticipating its usage on an old car but I only just got to use it today and it did the job without issue. If you know what you’re doing with this sort of kit it’s very simple to use and the moulded storage box is a nice touch to store all the pieces when dismantled.

Solid and capable bit of kit.
In 50 odd years of keeping cars on the road I’ve never had a brake disc I could not shift, until now. Every trick in the book failed so I bought the 10 ton puller. The instructions appear to have been translated by a dyslexic mongoose so if you’re a novice don’t confuse yourself by trying to make sense of them. Putting it together and using it is pretty much self-explanatory but if you need a guide expand the images in the listing and download them to your phone or lappy. Do the swivel bolts up tight enough to hold the claws firmly but NOT so tight that you can’t move them by hand. The puller itself is pretty heavy and although it could be a one person job, getting it into position would be easier with an extra pair of hands. Pulling a disc I had to bend the backplate a little to get the claws on, It took a fair amount of hydraulic pressure and three bites to get the job done. This puller is a good bit of kit and you can see it broke the disc into bits. I’m glad I went for the 10 ton rather than the 5 tonner, I think the extra cost, added reach and power was worth it.

Fiddly, but worked!
A completely seized drive shaft in the hub. Smashed it, used normal pullers, left over night in oil…. No success. Was going to disconnect inner drive shaft and put into the press but thought I’d give this a go. At first couldn’t get it to stay in place, would have been easier with two people but not an option. After an hour of fiddling with no success. Went away got a cup of tea and came back. Magic fairies worked and got it in place and worked. Pleased I am sure I’ll be in need of this again. Good addition to my tools.

The essential tool you didn't know you needed!
I don't often change wheel bearings as a home mechanic, so it's even less common that I get a stuck one but the one on my mini would not budget. I bought a cheap tool from a tool store (sounds like New fix) which snapped without a hint of moving it. In my desperation to get it done that weekend, reliant in Amazon's next day delivery I shelled out a bit more for this beast.. and a beast it is!Firstly, it's a weighty bit of kit, you put it together yourself but it looks sturdy. It took a little muscle to get it positioned and the hydraulic, Jack handle gave me a few heart palpitations as it took up an immense amount of strain before it suddenly, with a loud and rather frightening bang, shifted that stubborn b*stard off, clean as a whistle!I probably won't need this again for some time, if ever, but I have it now if I need it again and my mates can borrow it if they need to. All up, a very sound investment and worth it's immense weight in gold if you get a stuck one! 5 stars from me!

Not had this pulling power since my yoof!
Pulls like a good'un. Ordered this tool after ruining my largest three-legged on a seized hub. This bit of kit made light work of it. Impressed!

Work smart not hard!
The media could not be loaded. After trying the usual methods, found this and was off in 10 seconds .. well worth it .

Broke on fourth use
Thought this was going to be a quality bit of kit considering its price, but no it broke on the fourth time I used it and will no longer hold pressure or pump the end out. Probably something broke inside or a seal or something has blown. So obviously whatever broke inside it isn't up to the job of the amount of sustained pressure this hydraulic puller can give out. Not impressed, I am not rich and this was a huge outlay for me.

Excellent for corroded brake discs
So much kinder on your hub bearings than an air chisel or lump hammer. Quite heavy, a little fiddly but is possible to use on your own (begin with one leg at the top). Small risk of breaking a disc in extreme cases, just cut away the remaining disc until you can hook all three legs back on and go again. The automatic retraction feature when you release valve is a good idea. Comes with a seal / rebuild kit too. Available elsewhere for less if you’re not in a rush.

No assembly instructions
Considering that you sell this to folks like me who have never used a hydraulic gear puller before, you need to include better instructions. You give some brief instructions on how to use, but no instructions on how to assemble the dozen pieces it came in. You also refer to part names without giving us any diagram or phot showing what those parts are. For example: "tighten the return oil valve" whatever the heck that is, is a mystery to me. "Adjust the alular pedestal" is an even bigger mystery.I'm not expecting you to teach me how to use the tool. But I do expect you to provide detailed instructions on how to assemble your tool, when you ship it in a dozen pieces.

Stuck axles. Not anymore!
The media could not be loaded. Used this on a 2009 Mini Cooper. Axles were stuck in wheel bearings. Tried to pound them out to no avail. Put the 10 ton puller on it and had both sides out in a matter of minutes. Well worth it!
