Good choice

This is good tahini, if it makes it to you. The problem with the 40 lb bucket is that it doesn't have a gasketed lid, like most heavy liquid products do. Instead it has a fairly thin sheet of plastic sealed to the bucket rim under the lid. This might be fine if the tahini were always stored upright, but it is not. Mine was even shipped upside down. This may be due to intentional turning during storage to minimize separation -- the bucket I received had thick paste on both the bottom and the top, and the more liquid tahini in the middle. That's the bucket I received. My first order didn't arrive, but was marked "undeliverable" within 24 hours of shipping. No doubt it left a mess in some poor driver's truck. The refund was not automatically processed because it requires the undeliverable item to be returned to the warehouse for inspection. Can you imagine a driver returning a greasy tahini bomb to the warehouse? I waited two weeks, and then called Amazon for a refund, which they processed promptly. But even the bucket that did arrive after my second order was coming apart. Half the plastic sheet had detached and tahini was beginning to leak around that side of the lid. A heat sealed plastic sheet is not going to support 40 lbs of liquid tahini during shipping. Once I straightened out that mess, a solid half hour of stirring mixed the tahini to a consistent thickness -- I expected this, as with any tahini that's been stored at room temperatures for more than a week. The taste is quite good. A fine product in terrible packaging.

This tahini in flavor and texture beats the other top names by far! It is creamy, no grittiness to it. The flavor also has no bitterness- love it!! My husband and I mix it with raw honey to create a delicious healthy desert. This container lasted us 2-3 weeks

Great flavor; toasted just right.

We love the taste of this tahini. But I received it in busted containers three separate times. And it’s not eligible to be returned or replaced.so basically, I threw away $70 on this product.

I haven’t tried the product because the package was destroyed. I’m very disappointed and I want a compensation.

Opened the container today to find that it has gone rancid. It is very bitter and metallic tasting and has a horrible smell, unlike any tahini I have had before. BEWARE! Amazon does not let you return this product. I'm forced to throw it away.

. . as I found it, upon delivery. The delivery itself was fine. Let me just state that this is not the tahini that you want to deal with if you're already carrying some irritation with the day. 8 tenths of the contents are of a thin, fluidic consistancy like an oily latté - which I decanted into another container - to find an almost impenetrable, clay-thick sludge comprising of the rest. The sharpest spoon in the drawer took considerable effort to prise the remains from the tub - and I DO mean effort and prise. I will very probably think twice before ordering again.

I received the tahini. I am not saying anything about the product in itself. But the cap was broken. And the tahini flowing out. Plus it says expiry date March 2022. Amazon says I cannot return the item ‘item not eligible for return’ and I do not really know how to contact the seller. I would be happy to have a replacement and give it a go. Like this I do not even want to taste it to be fair. Cracked cap and expired is a no no. Very disappointed. Finally, the label does not say anything about the origin of the seeds. Just the Amazon page says ‘humerus seeds form Ethiopia’ but nothing on the label.

I am a huge Tahini consumer and literally tried almost everything here in the UK. Finally I found the best Tahini out there. I know for a fact that Humera sesame seeds variety from Ethiopia is considered the best in the world – Brilliant – you can notice it in the silky paste.From the creamy Smooth Texture, to the light colour and amazing flavour – it is not bitter like other Tahini brands and I can actually prepare some deserts for my wife as the Tahini is almost Sweet due to the fact there is no added salt.Well done guys – I would be glad to get also other case sizes but happy to use the 2.5KG as we use Tahini like water 😊 😊 😊

This is exactly what I was looking for – great texture, great flavor without any bitterness – I have just made a delicious Tahini ice cream and cannot wait to taste it.Highly recommend!
