works well for over a year
has been using it for over a year now. works well, warms up or cools down the room quickly. has used every mode, they work well. shouldn't be used excessively though, it gets harder to breathe. i guess it's the same with every heater like that. great value for money, grateful i have it.

Effective, but quite noisy
The positives: Good heat output with 360degree dispersal and has simple controls. Lightweight with a carry handle. Power cord about the right length. My smart meter is showing it heats the 2 rooms I've put these in much cheaper than the gas central heating. I've plugged in through a digital timer switch. (Smart Homes with smart plugs will make these even easier to control)The negatives: The fan is noisy and from other posts may get noisier over time. The rooms I have put these in are 8mx7m and 6mx5m and these contraptions heat them in under 10minutes (quicker than the central heating)If you can accept the noise they generate, they are effective and appear to be efficient - then they are a good buy for you. But if you cannot, you may wish to look for quieter models.

So pleased I bought this.
For just over 20 quid this is a bargain. I have 2! Can leave it in my bedroom for half an hour and come back to find it's not an ice box but a livable temperature. It's not super quiet but not too intrusive with the noise either- about the same as a fan. But for the money I can't complain at all. Stable, great design. Thermostat is excellent addition to consistent temperature. Great for heating one room especially when working from home. Arrived a day earlier than expected as well. Have friends staying over Christmas so was worried about heating the whole house. Not worried now! Plus they are light and portable and the casing stays cool especially at the base. Well chuffed!

Saves us money!
Bought to try and save money on my central heating. I live in a 2 bedroom ground floor flat, built after the war and these flats are notorious for being cold and drafty in the winter unless heated a lot!! I was using £12 a day on gas and £6 per day on electric before this. Now using £3 per day gas and £9 electric using this rather than my heating (which I now only have on 1 hour in the morning and 30 minutes before getting in from work in afternoon to take chill off) saving me £6 per day!! I use this heater at other times I need heat. This sits in my hallway with all doors open and keeps my flat toasty warm. A must have if like me you have a small flat!

Small but powerful
Wanted something portable and lightweight for the occasional use in my bedroom before bedtime. This is fab, heats room in minutes and love the fact that it turns itself on & off every few minutes depending how far you turn the heat knob on. Also use it in my living room instead of turning gas central heating on everywhere. Highly recommend.

Nice n warm
Great product. Only problem is a noisy fan. Seems it might have been dropped in transit. I just don't have tge time to return it.

Perfect to warm up my room
I use this in the winter times, I leave it on for about 10 mins to warm up my room and it does the job, I would leave it on longer but the high wattage would stress me out on my electric bill. 10-15 mins does the job brilliantly.

Cost effective heater for a small room
The media could not be loaded. I am using this in my home office which is the smallest room in the house - 6'8" (2m) by 9'9" (3m) or 65 square feet (6 square metres)Conscious of energy costs, I don't want to put the central heating on during the day when I spend 90% of my work time in this room. I am not a hot house flower and am quiet happy to work at 18°C (or even 2 degrees lower). After unboxing the heater, I placed it on my desk next to a digital thermometer and ran it on the maximum heat output setting. In a few minutes, the temperature had risen from 13°C to a comfortable 16.5. At that point, I turned the thermostat down and then started recording how frequently the heater kicked in and for how long. The temperature climbed a little on each cycle over 3 hours. Typically, the heat would come on automatically for 2 minutes 15 seconds before turning off for an average of 17 minutes during which the temperature would drop less than half a degree. On the other side of the room is another digital thermometer and this was only ever 0.5°C lower. So being next to the heater (below the heat output) didn't greatly sway the readings of the thermometer in the video/photo.My room is now 18.8°C (body heat and the computer also helping to heat things) and quite comfortable. In terms of cost, my electricity is 21.557 pence per kWh so this has cost a little under 5 pence per hour to use. That is a massive saving compared to putting the central heating on. Obviously, the outside temperature would play a big part in hour long it will take to get the room up to temperature and right now it is 8°C outside. There was a slight smell of plastic on first use, but that has disappeared now. I would not run this for extended periods on the maximum temperature setting but that is not what I bought it for.As for the noise of the fan, it is noticeable but not intrusive. Since I spend most of my working day with a noise cancelling headset on, I barely notice the fan. The sound in the video sounds much louder than it really is. It's much quieter than a washing machine filling.
