The story is really pretty interesting. However
The story is really pretty interesting. However, there are several major bugs. The load times are way too long, and the audio sometimes begins out of sync. It also frequently lags, and one time froze. The graphics arent good enough to warrant that. sometimes, it would show cutscenes with several textures missing. after my first play through, the "choices" tab became unavailable. On my second play through, It forgot my choices entirely from episode to episode. this was so bad that i didnt even continue the game. The dialogue is not very good. many times the options are all bad and out of character. often, the dialogue option you choose is completely different from what batman actually says. The game at first appears to allow a less moral playstyle, but the "bad" options are always watered down, badly executed, and cause no change compared with the "good" options.altogether, a great idea, but greatly disappointing. i have now been turned off of telltale.siddenote: there is sex in the game, but the esrb rating does not mention sexual themes. isnt this a legal requirement?

UNPLAYABLE due to lag - ***UPDATE: Amazing story!***
**** Original Message - 1 Star ****This game is UNPLAYABLE due to lag. I can't get through the first 5 minutes of the game because there's so much lag that I cant enjoy what's happening. This should be a crime. I'm going to ask Amazon for a refund. Technically, this isn't Amazon's fault. It's Telltales fault. I will NEVER buy another game from this company on any system.***************************************Update 1/10/17This is an update to my original review. Everything that I said about the lag in the beginning of the game is still true. However, if you suffer through the first chapter, then the game gets much less "laggy" and becomes playable. This is a story-driven and choice-driven game. It's not an action game or a fighting game, so you're not going to see any of that free-flow fighting system from the Arkham series. All of the fights are mini-games (e.g. press the button that flashes on the screen at the right time), but the fight scenes are so good and the mini-games provide enough choice and are so well integrated that the fights feel extremely fulfilling. The story in this game is "WOW!" There are so many twists and interesting developments that make you see Batman/Bruce Wayne in a new light. Since your responses in conversations and (infrequent but fun) choice of showing up as Batman or Bruce Wayne determine how people react, you feel really engaged and invested in the story. The script, story and voice acting are all top-notch. Even though it's not a typical action game, it is Batman at his best, and the way that it ends suggests that there will be a sequel. The way in which the game is organized into episodes is a fun touch because they really do feel like episodes in a dramatic tv show. However, I bought the game after all 5 episodes were available. I don't think that I would buy a game like this until all of the episodes were released because waiting would restrict the fun. After you get past the laggy first chapter, this game is a must-have for Batman fans, and I'd give it 5 stars, but the laggy first chapter is UNACCEPTABLE. That could cause a lot of people to stop playing before they even get to the good stuff; that almost happened to me. For that reason, I deducted 1 star, and I gave it 4 stars.

Telltale made another great game
Not sure why the reviews arent better, it's a great story game. I didn't expect the action and excitement like the arkham games offer. The story is fresh, different and definitely enjoyable. Great game

Dirty and scratched
I just received one of my orders. The Batman 360 case was dirty and scratched up under the plastic wrapping. This is a gift. And I don't know if the game is messed up or not. I've never had any issues with my orders. Always satisfied with everything I've ordered.
