I think I was the only one in the house who could use a bread knife to cut a bagel. I became the designated bagel slicer. Sometimes if I am not available then people opt out of having a bagel. I like the fact that the bladeis sharp and always cuts the bagels easily and directly in half. It is also easy to clean and takes up little room on the kitchen counter
