Page-turning and addicting, DEEP DARK will have you thinking twice about signing up for Match.com!It amazes me each time I delve into a Tracers Series romance, because I always say "well, she can't top the last one, that one was a thrill-ride, and the romance was sweet and sexy and I held on to every word. But then she comes out with the next, and you say to yourself...Holy Crap...How does she do it EVERY TIME!!!Laura Griffin will literally have you changing all your passwords with DEEP DARK. She writes a novel that is straight from the headlines, so believable, so real, and so so creepy. I swear, I will be looking over my should for at least the next week!!Laney Knox was KICK ASS!! I love a little firecracker heroine and Laney was it! She sure had Detective Reed Novak on his toes throughout the entire book! I loved that Laura gave us a new dynamic to a real connection between a jaded Detective and a spunky white-hat hacker! The sparks, the chemistry, the small moments...I swooned, I melted, I LOVED!!!And the research that goes into every page, Laura Griffin doesn't cut ANY CORNERS. She knows her stuff, and she does her research, and when you are reading, it's all so real, and so there, you can't help but feel like it's a true story. She is just TOP NOTCH!! I can't say it any other way!!To say DEEP DARK is my favorite of the Tracers is just unfair, because I have literally been an addict since the beginning (UNTRACEABLE, but you actually should read THREAD OF FEAR and WHISPER OF WARNING cause well...Jack Bowman...hello!!). It's a series that you want to buy, a series that you NEED TO BUY! Even my Grandpa is a Tracer-a-holic!!

I love a good romantic suspense and once again Laura Griffin doesn't disappoint. I loved the fifteen year age difference between the characters. Lainey was a computer whiz, unconventional, with a pink streak in her hair when she met Detective Reed Novak. He's not really her type but she's drawn to him nonetheless. As for Reed, he's already had one failed marriage. He's not looking for a serious relationship and especially not one with a woman fifteen years younger than him. Even so, there's something about Laney he finds hard to resist.For one thing, she's not being completely honest with him. From the moment they met he could tell she was keeping secrets. So what will he do when he discovers Laney was once the victim of a brutal attack that bears striking similarities to the current murder investigation he's working on? She is, after all, the one who began texting him information regarding the case and has since provided invaluable help when it comes to ferreting out facts he needs to know in order to solve the recent murders.It was fun watching these two come together in spite of their differences. The fact she was only twenty-four was difficult for Reed to swallow and I liked the appearance of his ex-wife who couldn't help ribbing him about it. And since Laney's character was a little more light hearted, it made for the perfect foil for Reed. She had no qualms about the idea of him being older and didn't hesitate to start something between them. When they discover there's a serial killer involved and that Laney is in danger, it ramps up the tension in the story.The suspense is top notch with the killer's identity remaining pretty much a mystery to the end. I like the fact the author knows her way around a crime scene. It's evident she's done her research which makes for a well-written book. I would definitely recommend this to any fan of romantic suspense.

I think my favorite Laura Griffin series is The Tracers. DEEP DARK, while being the 10th book in this series, DEEP DARK (as well as the other 9 books) can be read as a stand-alone book.Laney Knox is a very "spirited" young lady who has vast knowledge of cyber space. She works for the Delphi Center as a "good-guy" hacker in order to track/find criminals. Then, we have "mature" Reed Novak, Austin homicide detective. Reed has the type of instincts he needs to be excellent in his profession. But, are his instincts about love as good? These two work together to hunt down a serial killer before he can kill again.Since I'm not a writer, but a GREAT reader, I sometimes can't find words to explain in a review how exciting a story is. From page one, DEEP DARK starts off with a bang and doesn't stop. The story didn't slow down anywhere in the book. It IS really a page turner.DEEP DARK has suspense, mystery, romance and anything you like in a great thriller. If you have never read Laura Griffin, this is a great book to start with. If you are a regular reader of Laura Griffin, you will love this book too. In either case, don't miss this book!

When Reed Novak is called to the scene of a murder he finds a beautiful young woman has been murdered in her home. There is no sign of how the intruder got in no murder weapon and all of the usual suspects have alibis. Laney Knox is a white hat hacker for the Delphi Center. She is one of the best hackers out there. She sees similarities in this attack with a brutal attack she survived years ago. She sends clues via text messages to Reed to steer him towards a dating sight she believes is linked to the murders. When Reed meets Laney he is strongly attracted to her and the feeling is returned. As more murders occur Reed wants Laney to stay away from the investigation. He is afraid she will attract the killers attention, but Laney is determined to help find the killer. This book is well written, has plenty of mystery, suspense and romance. I didn't guess who the killer was until the author revealed the identity. It is part of the Tracers series and I have enjoyed all the books in the series but this book could stand alone. If you haven't read the previous books in the Tracers series go back and read them, you are in for a treat! Many thanks to the author for an advanced copy for an honest review.

Excellent read! Laura Griffin is without a doubt the best romantic suspense author at the present moment. If you have not yet read any books by this author do yourself a favour and buy one now - all her books are great.
