Cosamin DS Double Strength Joint Care (230 Capsules)

I've taken Glucosamine & Chondroitin Sulfate before, but these really made a massive difference. My friend's mom recommended them as she found a big difference with this specific brand. I agree. Due to my weight and age (50s), my knees have gotten progressively worse with pain for the last 2-3 years. Due to some very expensive "Ergonomic" mesh chairs at work I even had severe weakness and pain (due to the plastic ridge of the chair biting into the back of my legs and reducing blood flow; ergonomic my ___). I really thought I was heading for surgery. But two weeks on these and I realized the strain and pain of going up and down stairs was much better. Down was always much worse, but up felt unsteady--I needed to hold the rail. Now I was managing steps better, I felt strength in my knees again. A month later I couldn't believe the improvement. before I finished the first bottle I had forgotten about my knee problems. If i did a long walk, like 5-7 miles, then I would feel my knee getting tired (and remember that my knees aren't great). But that soreness after miles of walking was a fraction of the pain I had felt going down one step of a staircase a few months before.2018-Dec UPDATE=====================Just wanted to update. My knees problems don't exist anymore. I haven't had weakness in over a year. I do not take this everyday. I'm bad in general about taking vitamins daily. And the instructions on these are that you take 3/day then step down to 2/day then 1/day. Sometimes when I'm walking I will feel a little ache or soreness in my knee and I know I have to take some of these again. They are expensive but absolutely amazing. SO many supplements (beyond basic multivitamins) have such questionable benefits. We can convince ourselves of anything. But these have proven themselves for over two years now. I recommend them for anyone struggling with joint and aging issues. They work too well not to see if they can improve your situation.

This is not a pain reliever per se but if you use it as directed for six to 8 weeks you will notice a massive improvement in pain relief associated with arthritis. You’ll be able to do things you haven’t been able to do in a long time and you’ll realize wow I was able to get up from a kneeling position just like that and you’ll be amazed. Continue taking it because if you stop, after a while you’ll notice your joints aching and your mobility will just decrease again.It’s not the least expensive joint supplement but it’s the only one I have found that works like this. Definitely worth the money. Be consistent and stick with it for at least a couple months to see results.I had a feeling that this item would work because vets recommend this for arthritic horses, ex racehorses and other equine athletes and it works very well. The equine version is called Cosequin . I put my cat on Cosequin for cats because he was limping. He had x-rays which showed arthritis in one of his knees. After being on the loading dose of this product for cats which I kept him on, his limping went away and never came back.

This is the first time I have ever written a review on a product I bought a year ago. I first purchased this product in December 2016 after having little success relieving my knee pain with exercise, pain meds, ice, rest, and elevation. I saw a total of three doctors and the only one who helped was an acupuncturist who provided mild relief. Finally, after a friend recommended this product I gave it a try. I was reluctant at first because I am highly allergic to crab meat and this product is made from the shells of crabs and shrimp. One of my doctors suggested I try a small dose to start. I started with one capsule a day for a week and then increased to two, then three per day after a few weeks. The results were amazing. In about a month I had a pronounce improvement. After eight months I temporarily stopped the product when I had a medical procedure that required stopping all supplements for a week to reduce the risk of bleeding. After not having the pain return I decided to stay off the capsules a little longer. It has now been four months without it and my knees are still as good as they were years ago! I had been diagnosed with arthritis in my knees after having x-rays to confirm the diagnosis, more specifically condromalacia patella. I am back to skiing at the age of 70 with no problems!

I was taking two of these out every day and they were performing like most others. Then I read a review on this site where the person said you have to take the full dosage, which is three of them, to get the most relief. Absolutely correct. Since I started taking three the pain in my knees has lessened considerably.

I like a lot of others have bone on bone in my knees from over the years, I'm 49 and my doctor told me I have the knees of a 68-year-old man, I was told that having a knee replacement was about the only option I have in my near future. I tried this on a whim after reading about many different brands and this was rated the highest. I started with the small bottle and used it as the directions said and after a week or two, I noticed a difference in the pain, it was gone for most of the day, I get the worst pain between the inter side of the kneecap and joint. It is sometimes very hard for me to get up and stand without almost falling. This has changed that for me in many ways, I can now get up and stand without almost falling and I don't have to stand in one place for a minute before I can take a step.

Other cheaper brands do not have the same amounts of glucosamine, I can feel the difference over time so I bite the bullet and pay for this.
