Jack's Classic12-15-30 Tomato Feed Water-Soluble Fertilizer with Micronutrients for Plant Growth and Abundant Fruit Set in Blooming Vegetable Plants, 1.5lbs, 4 Pack

I grow almost all our veggies and herbs in our basement indoor garden. I use this fertilizer on all of the flowering and fruiting type plants, tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, etc., and they are all growing and fruiting very well. I have been getting more and larger produce since using this fertilizer. This fertilizer includes micro nutrients and the added calcium and magnesium helps to prevent blossom rot in tomatoes. All of the plants mentioned also require additional calcium and magnesium that most other plant foods don't provide. In addition, I have found that using this plant food is more cost effective than liquid fertilizer I have used. Two containers of this plant food will last me for 1 month at a cost of $28/month while the liquid fertilizer for the same plants was costing $55-$78/month. I use 1 tsp. per gallon of water for every watering. So far, this has been working well. Considering all of these plants are being grown indoors, I thing they look pretty good.I have been using this fertilizer exclusively for my latest grow of indoor Early Girl Tomato bushes. I have 10 plants in 10-gallon pots, and still have 6 of the extra plants in 2 gallon pots. Of course, the plants in the 10 gallon pots are larger and producing more tomatoes. I was surprised the plants in the smaller pots not only flourished, but also are producing nice sized tomatoes. I was on the fence about this fertilizer, mostly because of high N,P,K numbers and low price. So far I've been using this for almost a month with fast results. My tomato plants grew huge (so they needed a trim) and have many flowers and fruit vines, squashes resumed production of flowers and fruiting very rapidly, same for cucumbers and even raspberries have larger berries than previously fruited early summer canes.Overall I would rate this as a very potent fertilizer that delivers the same numbers as stated on the package. As a cautious pessimist, I will test my soil after the season is over to see whether this product caused excess salts build up in the soil, or significantly altered soil pH.For now - I definitely recommend buying it if your plants are under-performing.

Had 2 tomato plants in a raised bed, 1 big boy, 1 grape. Both were not growing to good until I started adding Jack's Tomato feed once a week. After 4 weeks my plants have gotten thicker stems and leaf growth is bushy, they really like it.

I've been using the JR brand fertilizers now for three years. I used to be one of those "staunch organic" gardeners that thought poorly of chemically derived fertilizers. I started gardening in the subarctic and found that I just wasn't getting enough performance in my short garden season from organic ferts. I wanted to make a change.I did a lot of research and found this company. I liked that they used soil science and were a soil lab first and foremost. They have clearly been at this game for a good long time (under a couple names) and had a good reputation. They have a clear understanding of the nuances of various plants out there and the needs of a gardener that are trying to care for those plants.I first tried the all purpose and within one week, I was sold on the product line. This stuff is amazing and forever changed my entire opinion of non-organic fertilizers. The bottom line, if my plants were unhappy with it, they wouldn't respond as well as they do. Within two days of applying this, you will see significant and noticeable growth. The liquid application works quickly and effectively. When used in appropriate dosages, and even a little bit more, there is no risk of fertilizer burn.For all of my nightshades and peppers, I use the Tomato Feed platform for the first two applications of fertilizer. (This ensures appropriate calcium and magnesium throughout the season.) I then switch to a 50/50 mix of the all-purpose and bloom booster and continue this rate for the rest of the season. I have found the mix to be a more effective balance between flowering and growth than bloom booster alone. For most other veggies, I use just the all purpose. For my flower pots and beds, I use straight bloom booster throughout the entire season. I have completely converted over to the JR Peter's brand fertilizers and use it exclusively across everything, even my indoor citrus and houseplants using those purpose-focused products as well.The Tomato Feed is expensive, at least compared to their other products! But, you don't have to use it for the entire season. I only ever use it for the first two fertilizer applications. If I start to notice magnesium or calcium deficiencies later in the season, I reapply. Otherwise, don't use this stuff every day or you'll go broke! Use the all purpose or bloom booster as a regular, more affordable fert for the rest of the season. I get about 2-3 years from one of these buckets and that grows a lot of tomatoes!Since switching, our production rates have shot through the roof and we even do well in "bad seasons" across most of our garden. While fellow gardeners complain, we reap incredible benefits because of this product line.I can't recommend this stuff enough, honestly!

I have not had much luck with tomatoes the past two times I tried growing them. I could get them started from seed with no problems, but once they were outside in the soil, the growth was decent and I had all sorts of trouble with pests. Best height I had was three feet tall. I think I got a handful of tomatoes out of six plants. So this year I made a container bed to keep some of the pests away and bought this fertilizer - after reading the good reviews. No more sparse, bare plants! I have a jungle of tomato plants (maybe nine total but growing so well!) and have already harvested at least three times the amount of tomatoes I grew before with plenty more to come. With so much produce and such voraciously growing plants, I can safely say that this fertilizer works. It works very well.

First time tomato grower here. This stuff works great. Both my plants got so tall, I had to top them off to prevent tipping (they are in containers). Super dark green and tons of tomatoes on the way. Also, I use it quite often and it has never hurt them. Strongly recommend.
