I recently purchased the Colaps USB Rechargeable Camping Shower and it has quickly become an essential companion for my outdoor adventures. It would allow more flexibility when using a shower hose and it would also reduce the risk of the hose becoming damaged.

I was initially reluctant to buy this, due to the comments around battery life. But took the plunge.It is a really superb piece of kit. Nicely made. Packs away into a very small bag, which is included. We used it four days in a row, eight showers in total. Obviously not a power shower, but the pressure is enough to wash hair and have a decent scrub.The instructions are worth reading through before use. It comes with a bunch of configurations. The one we found worked best was the shower head with a lever that starts/stops the water flow. This allows better use of limited water (we had a buckets worth for each shower).No issues with the battery. The instructions are very clear about caring for the battery. And like any rechargeable battery, not using it degrades performance, which is probably the reason for the comments about battery life.

Bought for a shower when 'wild camping'. Tried it out a few times at home to baseline the amount of water needed. Overall a FANTASTIC PIECE OF KIT. Can imagine use for cleaning sand after day at beach or muck off bikes.It gives a very decent amount of pressure, it is not a full on blast of water, but it is enough to shower with.1) Used the trigger nozzle to reduce water usage, only pressing half way to get smaller volumes of water out. Used the shower head attachment, but it drains the 10L way too fast.2) Used a 10L water carrier with a DIN 61 screwtop (44mm internal opening), and the pump unit drops perfecting into it.3) The quoted pump rate is 3L per minute. Which means a 10L container of water goes VERY, VERY QUICKLY. A quickish shower was using about 7L of water.4) Battery lasted enough for the 9 showers that we had in the 3 days. Suspect it would last much longer as well.5) Generally the limiting factor is the available water.6) The hoses are plenty long enough to have water carrier on the ground and the shower placed at shower height.7) All hoses and connectors are standard shower types so if you dont like the heads can uses something else.8) As others say, I don't really think it is suitable for hair washing, as firstly the pressure might be an issue and secondly if you are not quick the amount of water it uses means you end up with no water and shampoo in your eyes - which is not fun!9) The battery is stated as not water proof but does look splash resistant. It has a connector to clip on to the shower hose. But try as I might never really worked out where it should be, close to water contrainer or half way up. And as the battery is realatively heavy compare to thin and slippery hose. The hose wither kinks or battery falls off. Will eventually get the hang of for sure.For "hot shower" just filled 10L carrier, emptied 2L into a kettle and boiled it, then added it back and was approx 38c. Not scalding but warm enough so you don't shock yourself with freezing cold water.Overall, massively impressive piece of kit.My only comments for future revision are:a) reduce the size of the nozzle holes in the trigger attachment, to further reduce water volume / usage. The 3L/min is too much in my opinion.b) would be helpful to have a standard connector Micro USB for charging. The barrel connector means you need to have the special cable to charge via USB.And if you loose that then you are in trouble.c) as I imagine these would be mostly used in shower tents etc, the supplied suction cup holder is pretty useless. Would be nice to have something that is compatible with those.d) The pump unit is quite large diameter and needs a 44mm opening to go into. If it could be made narrower then would free up for use with other water carrier containers etc.
