Timberland hates veterans
Do not buy these boots!! My first pair were comfortable, but within 8 months the boot separated from the sole. My second pair held up better, but within 8 months the heels wore done to the cardboard padding and leaked water inside. These were the pro series and only being 9 months old they still would not replace them. (So much for the one year guaranty) Get this.... they implied I walked around dragging my heels! The fact is I am a USMC disabled veteran who does have a leg injury, but blaming a poorly made Chinese boot on my disability is kinda rude if you ask me. The heels and sole are NOT replaceable on these “Pro” boots, so expect them to last a half year or so..... less of you have a disability. Never again will I wear a pair of these cheap Chinese made boots. They are designed for the office worker who wears them out to the mall on Sunday afternoons or those long autumn walks to Starbucks.

My favorite workboot, but they do not make them like they used to.
First, I PAYED FOR THESE TIMBERLAND BOOTS.(Check my update below!)I waited until I had used these boots for a few months before reviewing them in order to give an honest opinion.I wear them 5 to 6 days a week, from summer until now when we just had the first snowfall of the season, anywhere from 8 to 18 hours a day working on concrete floors, and in and out of trucks. Yes, I'm on my feet all day.My feet and legs used to get sore and tired with my last pair, but since using these timberlands I can work longer without getting fatigued. My only complaints are the lack of the slip resistant sole, and the quick lace-up eye hooks at the top of the boot. If it had these two changes made, it would be the perfect workboot.I will leave you with a tip: I pair these with the Dr. Scholls P.R.O Heavy Duty Support insoles, designed for men over 200 lbs. They provide extra support.Together they are the footwear I recommend to everyone.Update!!! 2/22/17Lowering my rating from 5 to 1 star.Posted a picture of the soles breaking apart on both boots, similar to other reviwers here on amazon. Very dissapointed. Will find another brand to use, you should too

Do not buy. Look elsewhere!!
DO NOT BUY THESE! Purchased on Jan. 6 2017 and now, 6 months later, they are shot. The soles do not hold up at all. Both boot soles have cracked straight across the bottom. Now they are no longer waterproof. I am on my feet 8 to 11 hours a day with these boots. They are comfortable, I'll give them that. But material and craftsmanship is lacking! Timberland will warranty the boot but wants me to send back on my dime and be without boots for 3 to 4 weeks. Lesson learned, I will buy my boots locally from now on and stay away from Timberland brand. See my pictures.***UPDATE - I contacted Amazon via chat and the Rep is sending me a replacement pair of boots. Amazon is shipping them 1 day air and they are paying for the return of the old boots! Amazing customer service by Amazon!! Keep up the great work Amazon and Thank You!!***

A cheap boot that's ideal for six-month gigs, but not super durable afterwards
I've purchased these boots before in-person at a store, so I knew which size would fit me when ordering through Amazon. If you're after a pair of durable, high quality working boots that will last you for a year or longer, you should probably buy a different product. I bought these boots three times now, each for various six-month conservation gigs with low paychecks and uncertain job prospects afterward, so I intentionally searched for something fairly cheap knowing I only needed it to get me through one field season. These Timberland PRO boots got me through my intense six-month field jobs (chainsawing trees, building trail, hiking through forests and canyons, etc.), but often with a lot of wear and tear by the end. If I started another six-month season a year or two later, I would buy a new pair and retire the old one for casual use around the yard.If you're joining something like Conservation Corps and need a cheap boot to get you by for a six-month or nine-month term, these will do the trick. If you wear your boots every day for a living, like on the construction site or in forestry or something, you're probably better off shelling out the money for a more durable, higher quality shoe, one you can try in-person rather than guesstimating online.

Disappointed
Not waterproof! In spite of the tag and feature list, these boots are an epic fail regarding water resistance. I don’t wear them in rain too often but I did notice damp feet once before but assumed water seeped in the top. Today’s weather put them thru sole high water testing and now both feet are cold and slushy wet! Now that I’m indoors I can hear a vacuum like wet suction sound from the rear boot while walking as if they suck in water with ea step.I’ve had Timberlands before and this is highly disappointing and truly does damage their brand. A previous post suggested a quality degradation from past to now and I’m forced to agree. My last pair was waterproof all the way down to no threads, this pair is 6 months old, hardly any thread wear. Boot on right is my old pair 3 yrs. Boot on left is the new one @ 6 months. Seems the issue is now the square threads in the middle are now hollow, notice the holes and inner lining showing thru. The old threads were solid, they wore flat with the sole yet no holes. Would give 1 star if it wasn’t for comfort and fit.

Husband will not take them off
Husband will not stop wearing these. Purchased these for him for Christmas. He loved them. Said they are more comfortable than a pair of sneakers. "Just like walking on air!", he said when he put them on. Ok, great for winter, I thought. Well, here we are almost July, and he is still wearing them. I will have to put my foot down when I see him with a pair of shorts and these boots.

Me desilusionó…

Excellent price & great quality leather boots!
I just received my new boots today, and I ordered size 10m, which fit perfectly.Amazon.ca has provided me with yet another quality item and I didn't have to make an annoying trip to a mall!!!The brown oiled leather is excellent quality, as well, the thick rubber sole and treads seem to be high quality, and I am sure that my feet will survive the coming Canadian Winter months in comfort!!!
