I have a love/hate relationship with this spark screen
I love that we are able to open one side vs removing the entire screen. However, even it is a little too big for our fire pit which allows the closure to gap enough to let sparks fly out that gap. Our fire pit is approx. 52 inches wide and this kind of balances on top of it. I read beforehand that because of this type of screen, it is a bit of an oval rather than a true round one. It is a little topply, but we make it work. I will add wider pavers to top layer of fire pit to remedy this problem.

Nice heavy weight screen
This is a good sized, heavy weight , sturdy screen for the firepit. Easy to assemble ( took me 15 minutes) and the way it opens makes it very easy and safe to add more fire wood to an ongoing fire. I would highly recommend it.

It’s really a good sturdy spark screen but not easy to put together .
I like how much more height you get for a bigger fire and I like that you can open and close it without having to take it on and off like the one that came with our fire pit !Skip they’re instructions and go to YouTube. Way easier to watch someone put it together.

Really expensive, but exacly what I needed, so overall I’m happy. It works great!
Pros: Easy to assemble, works great. I like the fact you don’t have to remove to feed more wood. Easy to open and close.Cons: price, price, price! And it moves around if you built one of the fire ring kits from Lowes. I wish it came with a way to fasten to the outer ring.

Looks great, easy to use
Great quality spark screen and looks nice too! The directions were difficult to decipher, but we managed.

Value for money
Good value for that money. Not very heavy though so not sure if it can be left unattended. May fly off during windy days

Better quality than I expected
Most of the reviews I read said this wouldn't hold up well to the weather. Mine sat outside all summer in the rain. Showing a little rust, but over all, not bad. I did put it in the shed for the winter. It assembled easily. Is quite a bit heavier/more solid than I expected. And the swivel to open and close works well. Even if I have to keep reminding everyone not to grab the handle after it's sat open over the fire. It's metal; it gets hot. Overall, happy with the purchase, and love the added comfort of not having embers flying up everywhere.

Wear Gloves or this will cut you !
Reasonable build quality except for one issue. The bottom of each section has the screen mesh trapped by the metal being folded over it, however on the top of the sections the mesh has been cut to fit rather roughly, and very tiny spot welds used to "tack" it to the metal. This results in a number of very dangerous jagged and sharp pieces of mesh that are not flush to the metal piece. I ripped my finger open on one of these, during assembly and had to cut off 5 or 6 other pieces that were a hazard. If you put your hand on the inside of this cover it will hurt you !

Sunnydaze 40-inch Fire Pit Cover
Product delivered earlier than specified from Amazon which was nice. We live on a river in rural Canada so deliveries can be tough sometimes. Packing was not great but this is not an easy thing to wrap. I had to cover a 37" diameter steel fire pit liner (in stone fire pit). It just made it. Even though specified as a 40" cover it is somewhat less than that in the area where the pivoting point is for raising one side of the cover. I found that the bolts at the pivot point kept coming loose when raising and lowering the cover. I went to the hardware store and bought lock nuts to put on in place of the ones supplied and that fixed it for me. Love the height of the cover to allow for larger sized fires and also the pivoting lid to access the fire to add logs. I put it away in a dry spot for the winter to prevent it rusting too quickly as they usually do. You can always fix that with high heat flat black spray paint.

works great when new but
Screening rusted/rotted out .. lasted 2 years. I tried high heat grill paint after the first year but it didn't help. I hope I can find something similar but more durable.
