Electric Century

Simply amazing, a new fresh art style. Though it may not be for everyone and some of the old school R/B 3D style may strain or cause headaches im not deducting any credibility of the story it self, thought the art is a quite notable feature my main problem is with the story, Starts off strong and really does a good job about the development with The main character, however towards the end it all kind of seemed rushed to the conclusion, especially since this is a stand alone comic, I was really hoping it really had a slower pace especially how they bring you to this incredible world with amazing art but as you get towards the ending you'll realize as the pages get thinner there is no way to resolve everything you'd like and it leaves ALOT to be desired, if this was just the first in the series then this would have been a perfect intro into this world but even so its a solid story, great art and i overall loved it.

As a long time MCR fan whose favorite solo project is Electric Century I preordered this as soon as I was able to and was a little afraid of being disappointed; luckily that wasn't the case.The story was charming and left me wondering where does the fiction end and Mikey's feelings start because just by reading the summary you can see a reassemble with MCR's former fame. I highly recommend listening to the album while and after reading it, it adds a lot of meaning and feeling to the words printed in the comic.Regarding the art it is amazing. I loved how the colors change based on the situation, similar to what happens in Breaking Bad. Green and yellow are colors of caution and warnings; Pink and purple relate to Johnny's home and safety, Adeline; Black shows up when he's at his lowest; Blue and neon pink are often used when he's hiding his sadness behind a momentarily high. Really clever and the art style is just amazing.

Quite a ride .
