Excellent- use it for homeschool. Highly recommend!
The media could not be loaded. Love this book. Beautiful illustrations. Nice pages. High quality binding. Book arrived in perfect condition. Writing is simple and relatable. Teaches the life cycle of trees, types of leaves, flowers, seeds and so much more. It’s organized in a way that’s super easy to teach. Then you can go out and find trees and use this book as a reference guide. The summary for each tree is enjoyable- sharing how the tree is useful- making the study of these trees more meaningful. I highly reccomend this. I searched long and hard until I found this book and it meets my expectations perfectly.

easy to look at for reference to find
This is a delightful book! I bought it for homeschooling (it's so helpful for nature journals, easy to look at for reference to find, identify, and study to illustrate), but we couldn't put it down when it came in the mail! My husband and I love learning about different flowers and dog breeds and then identifying types of animals and plants that we see out and about. This book has made the world of trees so interesting! It has a great voice, easy to understand and a quick pace without too much info. The first few chapters help you understand how trees grow, how to look at leaves, and how to identify different types of trees. Then the rest of the book takes a closer look at about 30 trees (see pictures). It's easy to pick up "tree lingo" with the glossary and the great writing. We love this book and can't wait to use it with our kids!

Love it
My nephew loves this book. He’s learned so much from it. And it has my favorite tree — the larch!

Not suitable for young kids
This book is well written and beautifully illustrated, but I was hoping to use it to introduce a grandchild to trees. The content is too advanced for a small child

Perfect book to start younger children identifying trees
Many books are geared toward older children and adults but this is wonderful to introduce younger children to differences in trees.

Beautiful!
Perfect perfect perfect. The illustrations are beautiful, and it is so fun to read. A masterpiece that took years to finish it sounds like per the description.Great addition to any nature family’s home library, we reference it often, and pair it up with nature curriculum for our homeschool studies.

Beautiful illustrations and great information
I purchased this book for my 5th grade son. It's great! It is a nice complement to other field guides as this gives a 2-page story-like description of each tree, perfect for younger children to read and comprehend. The pictures are all illustrations and at first I had wished they were real photographs, but it depicts the leaf, fruit, flower, etc. in such detail that we quickly grew to appreciate it. Very helpful to have all the aspects of each tree presented in one place. The first part of the book is an introduction to trees in general and all their parts, followed by 24 specific trees including White Ash, Paper Birch, Douglas Fir, American Elm, Flowering Dogwood, Eastern Hemlock, Norway Spruce, and Sweetgum.

Beautiful book but written to an American audience
I didn't consider that the trees would be primarily from North America, but the book is very beautiful.
