These are 4 stars because I am satisfied with the feel, comfort, and wear (picky shoe buyer)..but the only thing that needs revisiting is the top strap is too long once tightened. I had to cut it short, melt the edge with a lighter, then hand sew Velcro on the inside so it will stay close to the shoe. Now they are perfect! Just hoping modifications will last. Still happy with purchase.

I adore these shoes. Wore the hell out of them everyday for 10 months. Heavy use, on my feet 8 hours a day. Just now starting to break at the heal of the sandal. Which I'm not even mad about because of how much abuse I put these shoes through! No back pain, no knee pain, no hip pain. My balance is much better able to lift my arches because I can grab the ground with my toes the way I should. Stand on my heels the way I should. I'm buying my second pair. Hope to ware this shoe for the rest of my life honestly.

These are comfy for walking around, and I like that it doesn’t have anything between the toes. I wanted to use these for going in the water but they’re not the best. I slipped right away the first time I used them on the beach

My toes have never felt so free. I love how adjustable the straps are. Most sandals I feel like my feet are strapped down with little ability to move. These keep you both secure and maintain mobility and range of motion. They are also very comfortable. I wouldn’t rate them as true barefoot shoes as the trail grips on the bottom provide a little extra stability and cushion but they are definitely close. I wasn’t sure about the heel bumper but I am definitely seeing how it helps to keep your foot from sliding off. I haven’t taken these on the trail yet but anticipate the trail grips will keep me stable.

As a preface I'm a veteran chaco wearer for 30+ years. I have very high arches so I always assumed I needed to have shoes with high arches. However, after doing some research, I realized maybe that wasn't the best thing for my feet. So I have been slowly transitioning to minimalist shoes. I found these sandals fairly easy to acclimate to. However, I have bunions on both feet and anyone with bunions knows they're kind of unsightly and the sandals definitely don't cover them up. The pros are they are lightweight and seem to have a good grip on the sole. The cons for me are the velcro strap in the back, if you are an animal lover and have fur in your house, you understand that velcro doesn't last too long. Normally I wear anything from a size 6 to 8 depending on the shoe and had originally ordered a seven but they were way too large so I had to drop down to a 6 and they fit fairly well but occasionally the heel cup in the back is uncomfortable and the straps that go around the ankle are too long. Normally I would just cut the straps off and burn them, but these don't look like they're meant to be done like that. The footbed of the sandals are not good when they get wet. My feet slip around in them a lot so that's unfortunate. And after wearing them for a full day of work on tile floor, my feet definitely feel the impact. Another issue for me coming from Chacos that have a thick sole and living in a sandy climate is I get a lot more dirt and debris in my sandals since they are thin soled. It's not a game changer but I wish I could actually wear these sandals and be able to return them and not have the "return in like new condition stipulation", if so I probably would have said no but I guess that's how they get you. It was also sad to see the 'Made in China' on the shoes but isn't everything these days.We shall see how long they last.

I have been wearing the Xero Z trails for 8 years now. This is my 4th pair. If you like light weight minimal sandals that you can do all outdoor activities in and feel totally free look no further. My life would not be the same without these sandals. I'm pretty sure I will wear them in my coffin when I die in 70 years.

I was hesitant to switch from chacos to barefoot sandals, but after wearing barefoot shoes all winter I couldn’t go back to my chacos full time. I was getting knee and back pain and knew it was the arch support in the sandals that I no longer needed. These are so comfy and I have no knee/ back pain! I wore them all around an aquarium and to a baseball game and was still comfortable at the end of the day. If you’ve never worn barefoot shoes before that might not be the case but as someone who as adjusted to the switch, I won’t ever go back!

This is my second pair. I would not jump into these if you have not eased into barefoot minimalist shoes. But I love these. They fit to my size, the footbed is comfortable and flexible. Excellent purchase if you are a serious barefoot enthusiast.

Passen super und fühlen sich angenehm an. Ich habe 41,5 Schuhgröße aber einen breiten Vorderfuß, daher immer 42. Die Größe habe ich schlussendlich auch genommen und sie passen perfekt. Ob etwas reibt oder zwickt kann ich erst nach längerem Tragen beantworten, aber bisher gibt es nichts zu klagen

Exactly what I wanted them for, biking, walking, paddle boarding, and anything in between. Must have travel companion

My second pair of Xeros, they fit perfectly and are super comfortable. I wear these 9 out of 12 months of the yr.

These shoes are not true to size and wide as stated but undersized and standard width. Not suitable for those who are used to barefoot shoes. The women's model has thin straps which do not secure the foot leading the to sandals flapping around even when tied very tight, which also results in the strap being too long and dangling around. I ordered women's UK size 7.5 which was similar in size and fit to my women's karrimor size 6 sandals. I sized up and got the men's model which is slightly wider and more true to size, but still was smaller than expected. The straps on the men's model are wider so the fit is far more secure and comfortable, even without tighening the sandals excessively they do not flap around. I strongly recommend the men's model over this one, women need secure and well-designed shoes just as much as men do! Disappointing example of sexist design but there are not a lot of options for barefoot walking sandals without straps between the toes (which I find uncomfortable)
