Gave 1 star previously as they sent us wrong product which we didn’t realise at first as didnt use for a while. However, once we were aware and TTB were notified of this it was replaced without any fuss (even though 2 months later) and a label sent to return wrong item. And by the way product eco friendly and works well although elbow grease and stripper tool required. Have stripped all varnish from our 2-storey stair case efficiently! Used 2 x 5 litre tubs!

I've bought a fair amount of this. Similarly I have decades if not a hundred years of paint to remove. I've found if I burn off the main layers then this removes the residue, with elbow grease, and lathers up so removes the muck at the same time. Every method takes work, but the best thing with this option is you don't have to suit up or wear a mask, it smells ok. and is safer. I'm buying enough to do all the paintwork in my house and would recommend it.

I was a bit nervous about buying this product because of its mixed reviews but I think the problem with the product is that people are not being realistic with their expectations. I have 100 years worth of paint on my stairs. I was not expecting this product to just lift it off. And it hasn't. However it does make the paint much easier to take off. When they say apply liberally I have learnt that they really do mean liberally. The areas where I applied more product and where it stayed wet was where it worked the best. Took three layers of the product and hours of scraping to remove several layers of paint. I am pleased with the product. But I urge people buying the product to not expect it to work miracles. It's does work but with a lot of elbow grease too
