I dont have a dishwasher I was by hand and no they don't leave a smell or a aftertaste I absolutely love these they clean up easy

Oh these are very lightweight. Only a little heavier than strong paper plates. (That’s why we like them). Your cat will easily lick them off the counter. LOL! Try some Velcro!
