I have a fabulous, prolific mango tree in my yard that produces so much fruit that I lose count. Last year the seeds that fell on the ground started popping up little mango trees all over the yard, so I thought, "Hm, why not pot and sell them, but every time I dug one up and planted it in a pot, it would die. This year I observed them closely and found that the seed was germinating at the surface of the soil, not below it, so I bought these little biodegradable pots, and they are perfect. I love that they won't sit in a landfill eventually. I love that they are shallow enough that I can put soil in them, move the mango tree into them, and they don't fall over. They are porous, so the water doesn't stand. There are even little pockets for labels (included) if you need them. Love these. Will probably buy some more next year.Full disclosure: I gave this 5 stars for durability, but I've only had them for a short time, so that's just a guess ;)

This item is nice. These have nice handles and a plastic sleeve to add a tag/label. They will leak! When you water, expect it. When we use the therm "5 gallon" we expect things to be similar to a 5 gallon bucket. We are calling/considering the 5 gallon to be a 3 gallon and calling/considering the 3 gallon that we also purchased to be less than 2 gallon. If you are expecting the size of a 5 gallon bucket, they are not. They are smaller and shorter. They also are not all the same width or height. Other than the smaller then expected and inconsistent size(s), we like these.

Not good for use in the sun of South Georgia. The containers absorb too much heat and dries out the soil and the roots of the plants to quickly. Will need to be in a shaded area, and somewhere they can be kept moist constantly. One day of getting to hot and to dry will destroy the plant. Perhaps I will be able to use them in the fall for winter greens.

Sturdy, has name tag slot with lots of tags for each bag, retains moisture as well as releases extra. Plants seem to be doing very well in them, actually need 5 more. So I will buy again.

My plants are thriving. They offer the durability while allowing air at the soil. Not to big not to small for basic veggies and plants

They work well. Hold enough soil to help roots grow. Plants breathe well in them.
