I used the pink Germoline ointment for many years on myself and my family for cuts, scrapes, rashes and spots. It worked like magic. Then it vanished and was no longer available in the UK( I suspected EU regs). For some years I never saw it. Then, suddenly, I discovered it was still made for overseas and now we are out of EU I was able to get some. WONDERFUL!! Our medical store is now complete once again. YIPPEE!!

I buy this for my elderly parents who have no idea how much I am paying for it but the swear by it . I know they would rather go without if they knew. I would buy it for myself too if I could afford to . There is nothing like the real germolene ointment it is without doubt the best antiseptic ointment available. I still can't understand why Bayer stopped producing it ! But £30 a tube is mental. Only a couple years ago I was getting it for £15. That seemed expensive enough. Profit is profit but there does come a point where it is just greed. My new approach is to find some one who is going to SOUTH Africa to bring me a couple of tubes back.

Used on a burn on my hand that blistered. It healed incredibly quickly. Very impressive!

Having used this for over 60 years I have never found anything else to beat it and bought it despite its cost. Because of its cost and scarcity, I use it very sparingly but you don't need much of it for it to work effectively.

I remember this as a staple in our home growing up in the 70’s. It was used for scratches, insect bites & even spots. It was very effective & I loved the antiseptic smell & bright pink colour.Obviously it’s very expensive & so I don’t buy it often, but a little goes a long well & I still find it effective particularly on mozzie bites that I am prone to.

The price is crazy but this is proper thick pink Germolene not that white cream that is rubbish in comparison. I've been trying to find it since 2014 so I am absolutely delighted

have used this ointment since it was recommended by my parents - (then it was in a round tin)so far has never failed....... the cream version is ok but no where near as effective (although muchcheaper) ..... therefore every last bit of this pink ointment is used, it's too expensive to waste .... never without it in medical kit.
