MotoJitsu Master Riding Program

Watch the YouTube MotoJitsu channel instead
I'm a great fan of Greg's (aka Fast Eddie) YouTube channel MotoJitsu. There he demonstrates MotoJitsu, which is a series of drills designed to improve your low speed bike control when doing tight turns. The YouTube channel shows you everything you need to know, along with lots of demonstrations on all sorts of bikes. This book lists the drills, and shows the diagrams of the drills (circle, a slalom weave, a parking space weave, etc) but refers you back to YouTube for the training and demonstrations. As such it doesn't add anything to the YouTube videos. You get the diagrams on paper, but the first thing I did when I saw the YouTube videos was to sketch out the diagrams on a single A4 sheet of paper. At £7.73 it is poor value. Of the 28 pages only 10 have anything vaguely useful - and these just repeat what is already available on YouTube. The book is called "Master Riding Program" but it only covers low speed control. For a true riding program buy "Total Control" by Lee Parks, as recommended by Fast Eddie himself.

AVOID
Bought this (unusually without reading the reviews first) as I'd seen some of the videos on poo tube and hoped this would be a paper version to look at for when i was out practicing the techniques.Well... it isn't. Just basically is 28 page book, half of them are just pictures of people in bike gear wearing martial arts belts, other half is criteria of what you need to be able to do to 'achieve' each belt. For the instruction it just directs you to the poo tube channel. Disappointed with this, total waste of money. Don't bother buying it

Thoroughly disappointed
So I stumbled across motojitsu on YouTube.Really like the idea of getting more people wearing proper gear, doing extra courses and to constantly practice. The book however was disappointing. I missed the note on amazon that the book is 40 pages. In reality it’s a lot less due to the general bumff usually added at the start. The main theme of the book is “go to my YouTube channel at....” or “full demo is on my channel”.The book is good if you want a quick handy reminder of how to set up a practice course or what each belt level is. I do believe that this could have been provided online free rather than in a £7 book. All in all the book was not what I was expecting. Maybe I wanted a breakdown of each drill with helpful hints and tips for each practice session that’s not covered in the YouTube channel. In summary fast eddies youtube is great, shame about the book.

Good reference for riding practice routines to improve skills
As other reviewers have said this is not really a book at 28 pages, more a booklet. That aside it's still useful for the 4 different riding practice routines that rate your skill levels and are all in one handy reference. While you might not think this is enough of a reason to buy the booklet, I bought it to support Greg Widmar (author) to continue with his online efforts to teach and inform about good and safe riding practices.

Watch also the video's and practice, practice, practice!
Greg's YT channel shows about 225+ videos several techniques and debunks several myths that every motorcyclist should know and practice regularly. This book adds-on to his excellent videos helping you into understanding what you can practice and improve your skills upon. With this book, you will gain step-by-step a better understanding and gain confidence in your skills and abilities. It is not to replace any formal training courses, as is also very clearly explained in this book, but rather help you build a foundation, broaden your horizon and ultimately expand the fun that you can (and should) have riding a motorcycle. And go out, and practice, practice, practice.
