Really nice, affordable Ken doll
This Ken is unusual because, I believe, he is the first to have a buzzcut hairstyle since the very first Ken, who had blond, flocked hair. By the second edition, Mattel had remodeled his face and abandoned the flocking for a molded crewcut. So, intentionally (probably) or not, this new doll is an homage to the first edition. The clothes are cheap and unimaginative, which is par for the course for all affordable/non-collectors-edition Barbies. The jacket is printed with all details (compare that to vintage clothes with real zippers, dimensional buttons, and garment construction). The "socks" are in one piece with the shoes and slit up the back to go off and on. I miss the days when one bought a basic Barbie or one of her friends and then had a selection of nicely-made, inventive clothes. But those says are gone and, barring a pricey set of clothes for collectors, all of Ken's clothes are now "athleisure" and other (usually boring and tacky) casual wear. But the doll here, which has the very slim, "young" Ken body (as opposed to the muscular model or the thick-waisted version) will actually fit in vintage clothes from the early days. Worth it for the actual doll.

Bought as a Gift- Specifically wanted a Red haired Barbie
I liked that it was a red haired Barbie and that she was conservatively dressed and was available. She had nice long red hair, a cute dress, and is a Barbie doll.I like the quality and dependability of the brand and I feel confident about giving it as a gift without having to break the bank to purchase it.

Stunning doll!
Such a beautiful doll! Her hair is tad brighter than I was hoping for but it's OK. She's still gorgeous!!! Love her dress too. I just wish the ankles were jointed so she could wear heels 👠 or flats. For this reason I may put her head on a different body. I want her to have more footwear options. Lol! Her body shape is very weird too. Completely flat chested. I've never seen a doll like this. Also changing the earrings. They are too similar to her haircolor and they clash making it difficult to see them. The earrings will pop more on a doll with a different haircolor. For a child to play with, 5 stars. For a collector 3-4 stars. Having to get a new body and new earrings is a bit of work and more of an expense. These dolls are rapidly going up in price as compared to what they used to cost not that long ago. But the quality hasn't improved. Some might argue that it has gone down a little.

Love the New Reusable Packaging, Funny Grandpa Socks on This Ken
My daughters wanted a new Ken to join the Barbie Dreamhouse and I like this one a lot - he's got a different face mold than the other Kens and I Iike the hair, which is more reminiscent of the original Ken doll style minus the flocked feel. He's hollow plastic, being that he's only $10, but the way they are rough on dolls, it's a fair price. His head turns easily and even side to side and his outfit reminds me of the 90s. What we get a kick out of is the Grandpa tube socks/shoes he's wearing - we always laugh about that. They do come off. He's really good quality and he does fit in other Ken clothes.I am loving the new hot pink zippered reusable packaging! No more cardboard and hard plastic - it's more like a vinyl plastic package and you unzip it. If you're a collector you can put the doll back into the packaging - I personally plan to reuse the packaging for an Elf on the Shelf set up with my two elves this Christmas season and have them inside as Barbie and Ken. I like the new styles of the Kens and all the different looks to choose from.

Gorgeous Doll!
I love this doll! I actually have 2. Her hair is so much more vibrant in real life. Bold beautiful bright cherry red, not orangish at all. She is a flat footed Barbie with the ‘small bust’ body type.

What's not to love?!
My cousin wanted this exact barbie for her birthday. The doll has held up with rough play.
