Alpha 17mm Sensor Cleaning Swabs (12pk) (Red)

As a pro shooter, I go through about 100,000 shutter clicks a year. These sensor swabs are very cost effective and do a very good job of cleaning. Used another popular brand before, these swabs lay nice and flat on the sensor without any harsh edges.Keep in mind, in order to get the sensor clean after 5,000 or 10,000 shutter actuations, it may take 5 or more wet swabs. Any swab may leave a little streak at times, just gotta make sure you catch it (visible to the naked eye looking at the sensor) and generally the next wet swab will get the streak off. I use a sensor scope for smaller spots. Finally, if there's a new piece of lose dust, just dust off with the little pump holding the camera upside down and you're good to go.Local camera shops use the same technique at a cost of $60~$80 here and gotta wait a day or two. With these swabs and a bottle of the wet solution, save yourself a lot of money.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the reviewer who gave it one star only. I bought these because some other brands only offer a 16mm version which isn't ideal for the Nikon APS-C sensor.After using these I had substantially more dust spots on the sensor than before. In the end I then managed to get rid of most dust by using the UES VSGO DDR16S swabs. Even though the VSGO swabs are only 16mm wide they did a much better job than this product.

Not into writing bad reviews, and rarely leave reviews unless I feel I could really help someone either get something or stay clear. Avoid this at all costs. I saw dust come off of one of these when I opened it. They should be priced at 10 dollars tops. I sometimes don't pay attention to other negative reviews for most products in general, but if you are reading this stay away. If you do get this, and you have a terrible experience remember I warned you. I got this on positive reviews. Don't do it folks.

Cleans the sensors very well.. Recommend

Did a fair job of cleaning a very dirty sensor. Left behind a few spots and some streaks. Was able to complete the cleaning with the Lenspen Sensor Cleaner.  Lenspen LENSK1A Sensorklear Ii with Articulated Tip
