they "offer merely a glimpse into the life of this multi-faceted religious community and the people they love and serve"
This book is done by a photographer who worked with the Missionaries of Charity in San Francisco for a couple of years before beginning to document their work and lives with photographs. It also includes their prayer book--with permission from Mother Teresa. She was reluctant to be photographed, at first. Michael Collopy says that though the photographs in his book were taken over a period of ten years, they "offer merely a glimpse into the life of this multi-faceted religious community and the people they love and serve".There are 190 pages of pictures. Many of these pages have two pictures. Each picture is fascinating and moving. It is a book that you can turn to many times and study the persons in them. Though the work the sisters do is with people who are near death and all are very poor, there are joyful pictures as well.Sheila Bickerton

Beautiful Book- Deeply Moving and Inspiring
The book is truly a work of art, filled with incredibly moving photos and the inspirational words of Saint Mother Teresa and prayers. I first saw this book while on a recent retreat. It touched my heart deeply. Not only have I purchased this one for myself, but I also am giving a copy to a friend for her upcoming birthday.

Beautiful book of a beautiful soul
This book eloquently shares the depth of humanity through poignant words and moving photography. This is a gorgeous coffee table book that will elicit meaningful conversation, dialogue, and introspection. I actually used it in grad school when I wrote a research paper on Mother Teresa and got some terrific quotes from it. Mother Teresa's life and wisdom inspire me to reflect on what really matters in the grand scheme of the world, and how that ought to impact the way I live my life, devote my time, and spend my resources.

Wonderful book for all who treasure pure goodness!
Such a wonderful person, recognized as a saint well before formally named as one. Michal Collopy's photographs capture her simplicity and most importantly show the daily life of the Missionaries of Charity as they minister to the poor and abandoned.

The best book on Mother Teresa
This is the best book on Mother Teresa. The convents for the Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa's religious order) all have this book. I work with the Sisters feeding the poor and purchase copies through Amazon to give to the co-workers (volunteers) of the Missionaries of Charity. This book shows photos of the Missionaries of Charity's work around the world, and wonderful quotes and prayers from Mother Teresa.

Mother Teresa the Peoples' Saint
Illustrations in this book are excellent, moving and heartfelt. Mother Teresa's quotes are very Holy, gentle and true. She is deserving and worthy of her Canonisation and a Saint to be revered in today's World.
