I got these for my husband after he kept complaining about the old fashion fishing bells being so clunky and loosing springs all the time. I think the pack I bought had 20 or so, and so far we've only found one that was missing the bearing in one bell so it didn't jingle. All the lights work and are super bright. You have to open them and turn the battery over the first time you use each. When you attach them to the pole, make sure the bells are below the light so they're loud. We've even started using them on our toddler and the dog when we're camping at night. We put one on the toddlers shirt between her shoulder blades so she can't reach it, and we just clamp on on the back of the dogs harness and it stays on good. We've only lost 2 so far, but in a couple years I'll be ordering more for sure.

Very simple to use. Strong clamp on tension, so I'm less likely to catapult it off when I set the hook on a bite. 2 of the 20 units had a rattle bead in only one of the two bell chamber, with the other chamber empty. But still a very good value. And even so, the one side still sounds off enough. But me being me, I just pried it open and put in a little piece of lead the chamber and clamped it back shut. - Bingo!
