The Book of Puka-Puka

It was very interesting reading a book written about life on a tropical island written in 1929. I really enjoyed it. It conveyed a strong sense of place.

An excellent humorus read about life on a South Pacific atoll. Funny, direct, well written. I enjoyed every page. Robert Frisbie, at age 25, runs a Trading Post on the micro island of Puka Puka. It is funny and describes the Island people as honest and helpful in so many ways. It was an enjoyable read and I found myself envying Mr Frisbie in so many ways. What an adventure for a 25 year old guy. You will love this book.CB
