Boric Acid Pure Fine Granular Powder 10 Lb.Create Your own Solution. 100 Household Uses

I bought this powder thinking that it would be easy to disolve in water. My idea was to make my own sugar syrup with boric acid to kill ants.This boric acid will not disolve easily. I tried boiling water and it did not disolve. I left it in water for days shaking the jar ever so often and it did not disolve. I ended up just spreading it over the ant hills.

Last summer I had an infestation of swarming termites for the first time in my Pompano Beach condo that came in through the A/C unit. I was not there to deal with it, but after reading online and consulting our Pest Control Company, I ordered this thru Amazon. Since it shipped from Flalab, just a few miles away, it was here very quickly. My very kind neighbor sprinkled the powder on the carpet under the A/C unit and in front of the jalousie windows and door. He said it was amazing, that they died pretty much on contact. Our pest control co. suggested leaving it there until I returned, to continue protecting the area, which I did. When I returned in late fall, it was simple to vacuum up the powder with the dead termites and wings. It doesn't stain and is very low toxicity, just don't inhale or get it in your eyes. This year we are dividing up the 10# bag and distributing 1 lb bags for neighbors to preventively sprinkle on any area where swarmers might get indoors. Thanks, FlaLabs!

This is my second order of boric acid powder from Florida Laboratories. Both arrived in a few days by priority mail and were packaged in a heavy foil/plastic resealable bag that looked exactly like the photo. The product seemed to be pure and was very clean and dry. Price sure beats tiny jars from the pharmacy. I have been using it to preserve and termite proof lumber. This, borax, and a carrier like propylene glycol make a cost effective borate wood treatment to protect wood from fungus, carpenter ants, termites, and other wood-decomposing organisms.

Product is great. Very fine granular consistency and quick to dissolve in my pool. I ordered thirty pounds. The seller was very flexible to my shipping needs, quick to communicate and quick to ship.

Ants are taking over portions of my lawn. I tried dusting the area around each nest with the product, Next I poured it down the hole am made it look like a snow fall around the next, for a couple of months. Nothing worked. What appeared to work was to use a prob and find the chamber under ground and destroy it and the mound.

Very fine granules, sized similar to table salt. I've used it in a 1:1 mix with borax for a new build where I sprinkled it behind walls and under the base boards. Hopefully it would work against ants and roaches. The remaining boric acid, I'm planing to cook it with sugar and making a syrup for the outside of the house.

I used this product to get rid of Cockroaches. So far I have not seen any difference in the cockroach population.
