HIC Harold Import Co. Nut Milk Bag

Another reviewer was disappointed that this bag is synthetic. I think that's a plus, because that means it won't absorb my almond milk. The loops on the bag fit the struts (little arms that stick out) on my strainer. I soak one cup of almonds in 1 quart of water for about 8 hours, strain off the water, put the almonds and a new quart of water into my blender, blend for 2 minutes, and pour everything through this bag while the bag sits in the strainer, which is balanced on a bowl. Once all the liquid is through, I pick up the bag and squeeze out as much liquid as I can into the bowl. Then I pour the almond milk into a 1 quart bottle with a lid, and put it into the refrigerator. I add the chopped almond meats to bread, pancakes, smoothies. Nothing goes to waste. I put the bag into my next load of wash and it's ready to go again.

This bag is great for making your own nut milks and does the job. However, don't squeeze or wring it out too hard because the bag ripped almost immediately for me. I'm planning to patch it up, but it was a little disappointing since it was the first time I used it.

Works very well! Nut bits get stuck in the seams, but that's tolerable.

So far, so good. This bag seems well made. It's easy to use and washes easily. Almond milk, sunflower seed milk, brazil nut milk . . . all staples at my house now.

I poured juice from my vitamix into a strainer lined with this milk bag. The size fit nicely into my mesh strainer sitting over a bowl. It strained the juice very nicely and I thought is was great. Until i went to lift the bag from the strainer and the seem tore. Only about a 1/2" but any tear makes this nut bag useless. BTW, I received the item this afternoon and was using it for the very first time.

I drink green smoothies every day - when I need to strain the mixture - these bags work perfectly, haven't had one bust on me yet!! I highly recommend these little bags.

Discovered this bag as the easiest way to make my own almond milk. The only drawback was the seam has a little hole so I had to work around that. I might get around to sewing it up? Probably not.

La bolsa cumple su función, aunque la verdad es muy cara para lo que es. Como no la coneguí en otro lugar la compré aquí, pero cuesta bastante para el pedacito de tela que es.

I've been using this bag to make almond milk 2-3 times a week since April 2013 and it has held up perfectly. I really didn't expect it to last more than 3-4 months so am extremely pleased with it. It is still just like new. Would definitely buy again.

La bolsa es super sencilla y cara para su calidad, cuando busque fueron opciones en algodón y esta me salió en el buscador, parecía la mejor opción, pero no, es super delgada, de mala calidad, nada que ver con lo que ofrecen en la imagen. Deberían especificar el tipo de tela que es, NO ES ALGODÓN, ES POLIÉSTER, y en lo personal la verdad no sirve como reutilizable mas que un par de veces y ya... Nada que ver.

For use it works ok, just need to modify a bit by using bowls and strainers set up to help with the process. However as far as straining the milk out from fibre it is good. Cleans up well.

This bag is super flimsy. It’s more mesh-like than a typical nut milk bag. The small size is nice for those times when you only have a wee bit to strain but otherwise, I’m almost afraid to use it for fear it’ll rip & spill it’s contents.
