ZJTL Acoustic Guitar Frets (GS-T1)

I have a mandolin and this tuner doesn't have a dedicated setting for mandolins. I messaged GuitarSense and Ian got right back to me. He explained that the Chromatic setting would work on my mandolin. It works great for me.The tuner is easy to use and to see, I really like it. It folds up very small to store almost anywhere, it's very lightweight but seems to be a quality item. I would recommend this tuner for beginners to experts.Also, thanks to Ian for all the really quick communications and help.

Solid device. Vendor e-mailed special instructions for battery installation, very helpful.Thought it had been stolen, or that I had lost it after on;y one gig, turned up in the bottom of my gear bag weeks later, still ready to take on the pro gigs. Good product.,

I think the things works, but the instruction were awful. You get these things because you don't know how to tune a guitar by ear and then the instructions stink. Here is an idea: write some easy to understand instructions.

I have had tuners like this before, but none that had the Ukulele option, so I really appreciate this one since I'm mostly playing the use these days.The way to use it is really simple and easy. Anyone could figure it out. Just clicking the red button moves the tuner to tune a different type of instrument. Could not be easier!But the most outstanding part of having purchased this is the customer service. This company sent me an email before it arrived and the email explained that the battery is shipped with the device but not installed. They sent directions to install the battery without any tools in a very easy manner. The back of the device twists open so that the battery just slips in. You don't need a screwdriver or anything.The device tells you if you are flat or sharp, so you can tune precisely, top down or bottom up. It's super easy to use!Plus it sits on the end of the guitar or use or bass or violin, so you don't lose it!

I'm a fairly intelligent person. Went to a good college, read books on a regular basis, kill at Scrabble, etc...but I couldn't figure out how to use this thing to tune my daughters new bass guitar. Had better success doing it by ear via youtube videos.

I'm revising this review.I have been playing the violin for a few months now, and have used this tuner as a general key area and then I have to tune the rest of the way by ear. I am not even sure that this tuner knows what frequencies are apart of the violin keys. I have broken 2 strings due to this tuner being off, telling me that my E string was a D frequency when it was not. Also, the battery was not installed when I first received this tuner and it took me a longer time than necessary to get the back off. Please, to save your sanity get yourself a different tuner because this general one is going to drive you nuts because the notes will not work well together.

I have only had a chance to use it once so far but it seemed to work fine. It is a little smaller than I expected but that's not really important.
