Laughed and cried while reading this book. The dogs are wonderful and Ms. Owens made you feel you knew them personally. I knew from the start of the book what the turmoil in Jack's life would end up being. Don't want to spoil it so I'll leave it at that. I could see it coming right from the start. The author made such a point mentioning over and over Jack's goal of recovery. It was handled well with believable reactions from all the characters. I wish there had been a resolution for the commission stolen by Tate but everything else was well resolved. I'm off to read the next in the series. Oh BTW this has some seriously graphic sex scenes. Not for young audiences. Definitely R for MA due to sex and some language. This book is really closing in on a soft X rating. I'm talking descriptive oral not just purple prose and innuendo.

I am so glad to have found this author who ticks off all my boxes for Romantic Suspense. I loved the setting, the characters-both human and canine-the romance, the steam, and the intrigue. Another bonus was the humor and fun interaction between Jack and Nichole.The setting also spoke to me, as I live only 100 miles from Asheville, NC, and only recently went there for a visit. It’s a wonderful community filled with natural beauty and overflowing with creativity from local artists. So, for me the story unfolded in my backyard, which made the story even more fun to read, because I could imagine myself there, as the story unfolded.The only drawback was a tad of predictability, and little bit of extra padding, especially when it came the inevitable lover’s quarrel. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author.

I have nothing but high regards for all people in the military. Their dedication and sacrifice is second to none. But to have it taken away from you with no fault of your own has to be the worst that life has to offer. To overcome and rise above it and make something outstanding is a testament to their grit. Really, really enjoyed this book.

This was a really good story. From about 60-70% I was ugly crying. I laughed. I loved the growth of the characters and not just the main ones.

I loved this book, can’t wait to read more of Sandra Owens! Characters are filled with personality and this story kept me turning pages until the end.

Enjoyed reading about Jack and Nicole. After Jack was injured on a mission he is home to recover and going to PT. He wants to return to his team. He receives s late nite call from a women tell him off. Now his mission is to find her.

I love reading romances featuring our military heroes! The addition of canine heroes only improves it. Good character development and believable storyline that keeps your interest. Of course a great HEA ending and intriguing teaser for the next in series.

Couldn't put it down from first page. Character s were real and I love the dogs. Husband is veteran with PTSD from Vietnam. Love our men in service.

What a fabulous read! This much anticipated new series from Sandra Owens doesn't disappoint. The cute-meet for Jack and Nichole starts their romance, but as we know the course of true love never runs smooth.Grammie and Dirty Mary will have you laughing out loud and wanting to meet them in real life. And Mark, Nichole's brother, also has his moment to become a sibling to be proud of.Just a fabulous read (and also available as an audio book).

Okay I'm a sucker for dogs, so it was the cover that first caught my eye. I would have liked Dakota to have had a bigger role (maybe that's the blood thirsty side of me) but otherwise really enjoyed the book. The characters, both 2 and 4 legged were believable as was the plot, and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Jack and Nichole’s story is emotional and enduring. I love the dogs and the training tips may well come in handy with my nutter! Jack has quite a journey to undertake and this sets us up nicely for the future books Great start

This book kept me hooked right from the start, read it in one sitting, my hubs even had to find his own tea, as I couldn't stop!Loved the characters, lots of humour, (love humour in a book) plenty of action, in & out of bed!😁Am now going straight on to book 2. And shall be looking into what other books, Sandra Owens has written.

Wieder ein gelungenes neues Buch von Sandra Owens! Jack und Nichole sind liebenswerte Protagonisten, die man einfach gerne haben muss. Aber die eigentlichen Stars sind die Hunde und die Oma von Jack. Da waren so viele lustige Szenen, die einfach Spaß machen beim Lesen! Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Buch der Reihe, einen kleinen Einblick hat man ja schon bekommen...
