Door and automatic close works well. If you have a small cat they might be able to walk through bars. We removed the optional bar on the far side so our cats could fit.

We use these to contain our dogs it certain areas of the house when we don't want them to have "all access." They work great. Super easy to install. The installation doesn't damage the walls. I bought an earlier version of this that didn't automatically close but it closed easily. The auto-close is nice. Both versions have levers at the bottom of the gate that you can flip down if you don't want to keep the gate latched. They allow you or your dog or child to just push through the gate without having to unlock the top latch every time you pass through. It's nice to have the option to keep it latched or give my dogs free access to all rooms without having to uninstall it.

Bought this gate to keep a cat from downstairs from eating another cat's food upstairs. It served the purpose well.The installation is not hard but requires precision, if something is not straight or the distance is not correct the gate won't work. For best performance it requires straight walls on both sides, like a passage. We had a staircase post on one side and it made it complicated. It closes with a spring and a magnet inside, easy to use, but with time this became slightly loose, not working all the time. Also would be great if it had some device that would lock it in open position if needed. It is annoying to open and close it all the time even when not needed. It is well built for a simple gate but I wouldn't trust it for something important, like not letting a small child on the stairs. I think a "determined" child would overcome it in no time. Bottom line: animals - good, children - it depends.

Does anyone know how to fix the locking mechanism? This gate is extremely hard to open. If it wasn't for this, I would give it 5 stars all the way around

This is a great gate!! It has a swing action so it dosnt stay open, which is very helpful as you don't have to waste any time manually locking it, it does it for you.

This would have been a 5-star review except for the fact that by default the handle is very difficult to open, to the point that it hurts the hand. An 85 year old grandma *should* be able to open this if it works properly. Clearly this is a defect in production that could be easily fixed by the manufacturer. That said, a little WD-40 fixed the problem and so we will by another one because there isn't anything better on the market. Lots of reviewers have reported the same problem. If you remove the screws to lubricate the assembly, take extra care as there are springs in there and it's a little difficult to re-assemble.

Pretty good for a gate

Easy assembly, easy installation, easy to use and sturdy! Bought 2, one for a standard door opening and used the expansion bars for a second larger opening. Quality materials, love the swing gate and auto latch with the magnet. Keeps my puppy out of the bedrooms without having to close all the BR doors, which saves on heat & AC. Bought 2 weeks ago, no regrets.

me gusto mucho sus materiales,la instalacion es muy facil....y uds se preguntaran porque solo una estrella...????es un problema abrir la "chapa" o switch o cerrojo...como uds le quieran llamar...es verdaderamente un problema abrirla... no se si a mi me toco una defectuosa...pero ya trate de ajustarla de diferente manera...y NADA!!!!!es una VERDADERA LASTIMA...

Llevamos 3 meses con la puerta , se compró para un cachorrorrito se colocó en un pasillo y durante el uso se aflojan los tornillos de sujeción , de igual forma el botón de apertura se salió de su lugar y aunque ya no se queda fijo funciona.También las extensiones están muy limitadas, las patas después de apretarlas, se barren y solo es posible apretar con herramientas.Se recomienda para un tráfico moderado de gente.

Lo compre en agosto del 2021, para el día de hoy marzo 2022, el producto sigue intacto en la estructura de metal, todo esta bien MENOS el cerrojo, ese es un problema, desde que llego vimos que se llegaba atorar poco después el pasar del tiempo empezó más, mi esposo ya lo abrió dos veces por q se salía un herraje y lo volvió a colocar y siguió funcionando hasta hace un mes que se quebró esa pieza del interior de la chapa o cerrojo, lo quiso componer mi esposo con kolaloca pero no se logró pegar, aún así sigue funcionando muy poquito si cierra, no se q pasó pero en el día dejo la palanquita que esta en la parte de abajo x el piso para q no cierre por completo, ya mi hijo entiende que pasar a la cocina no me debe tirar los trastes de vidrio, así q lo dejo pasar o bien el pasa y sale cada rato, solo en casos necesarios se subo la palanquita y dejo q cierre el cerrojo, como digo aún quebrado funciona pero muy poco pero hay q hacerlo suavecito el manejo… Tengo dos puertas o rejas de seguridad, el otro es otro modelo casi del mismo precio pero mil veces recomiendo el otro q solo es jalar y subir la tapa, las dos las compre en la misma fecha y el otro está al 100% … la estructura de este está perfecta solo es el cerrojo que van a tener el problema más delante y en poco tiempo y lo malo es que no tiene o venden el repuesto :(

No es nada económica pero vale la pena lo que pagas!!. La reja se ajusta a la pared y queda muy segura sin necesidad de hacer perforaciones. Además viene con dos extensiones que se adaptan perfecto para espacios amplios y lo mejor es que se cierra sola! El indicador de abierto/ cerrado es muy útil, se siente bastante resistente y el envío llegó rapidísimo. La recomiendo ampliamente!

- Este tipo de reja es ideal para poner en un lugar donde se quedara por buen tiempo - por ejemplo en escaleras ya que la instalacion es fácil pero tiene sus trucos- Cada 4 meses aprox es bueno reajustar ya que se puede desajustar o mover con el tiempo y se bloquea el seguro de la puerta- aguanta el peso y jaloneos de un niño de 1.5 años- Tiene unas patitas/ganchitos en la parte de abajo para cuando ya no andan los peques, no se tenga que estar desbloqueando cada vez que se usa.
