Fix: A Brewed Novel
S**T
A smart, agonizingly compelling romance. Classic Molly McAdams.
If there were ever an author guaranteed to pull me out of my self-imposed reviewing retirement, it’s Molly McAdams. I’m pretty sure there is very little I wouldn’t do to read more of her words as soon as humanly possible. Even in Fix, which I would classify as one of her more light-hearted reads (but trust me, there is nothing light about the book, it’s just not quite as heart-wrenching as most of her work), my heart felt like it was being battered and bruised by the emotionally wrought journey Ms. McAdams was taking me on. There is no experience quite like reading a Molly McAdams book, and for that, I will be eternally thankful she keeps delivering these powerful pieces of art to her readers. When I started Fix, I was well and truly on the fence about Rae, she wasn’t immediately likable, and that’s okay. As I continued reading, I slowly began to appreciate her and eventually got to the point of feeling absurdly protective of her. She had been so severely damaged the people and words that should have meant the most to her; it was no wonder she acted the way she didn’t and was so afraid to put her faith and trust in another human being. Sawyer wasn’t immediately endearing either, but he won me over much more quickly. The pain he wore was far less disguised and bled out of him in the way he lived to help everyone around him. Watching them each slowly, painfully reveal the sources of their scars was beautifully agonizing. Seeing how they finally learned to heal and put their harrowing pasts behind them gave me a sense of peace and hope. Rae and Sawyer weren’t always easy to love, but they were incredibly easy to fall for.One of my favorite aspects of Fix was how much of a character the location was. It wouldn’t have been – couldn’t have been – the same story anywhere but in the quaint little town of Amber. Molly McAdams did an excellent job of taking me out of my front room and into the world she built in Fix. Between the cast of supporting characters, the way she made me love everything about how Amber operated, and how much the town was woven into the fabric of who Sawyer was, I felt very much connected to the picture-perfect setting of Fix.Fix was a smart romance, it had just the right amount of snarky humor and agonizing emotions to keep me fully enthralled in Rae and Sawyer’s story. Ms. McAdams delivered a great beginning to her new series, Brewed. She gave me just enough of a glimpse into the characters who will be featured throughout the rest of the series to ensure I will be coming back, time and again, to the town of Amber to endure all the pain and love she surely has in store for me.

Loved this small town romance!
“Sawyer wasn’t my anything. He couldn’t be. So why did he feel like everything?”A slow building romance, this book had everything I love in a small town romance - meddling friends and family; sexy men; town gossip; and family secrets. Sawyer and Rae both have tragic pasts that have shaped their futures in unexpected ways but together their broken pieces don’t feel so broken anymore. When Rae comes into the small town of Amber, these two definitely do not start off on the right foot. I loved the push and pull of the heat and tension shared between them until they finally let go and gave into their desires.“It doesn’t matter that I didn’t want you, because I crave you.”Neither Sawyer or Rae were looking for anything remotely like love, but sometimes we can’t control how our heart beats differently when we meet our soulmate. With Rae being a romance writer, you’d think her life would be romantic and idyllic, but with the secrets she carried around in her heart, her life was nothing like the stories she tells. I loved that with Sawyer she was able to build a relationship that finally won over her heart and gave her a true place to call home. And Sawyer, I would be hard pressed to not fall for a man who puts everyone first, trying his hardest to hold his family together, a man who knows how to take care of others even if it breaks his own heart. I absolutely love Molly’s storytelling and her ability to capture my heart over and over, another fantastic book.“I came to you, but not to forget because I don’t want to. I came here because all I see is you. I came here because it felt like I couldn’t breathe until I was with you.”

Emotional Overload!
When I read the blurb on this one I knew I wanted to read it. I bought it as soon as I could but put off reading it because I had so many books to read for my review group. Well, I moved a few weeks ago and cut back on the reviews and now have time to read what I want. What I wasn't ready for was the pain, heartache, and anguish both of the lead characters went through in their past. They were both not ready for the other to come into each other's lives. But love will find you when you are not ready or you think you can't be loved.Rae and Sawyer are so right for each other and their story will break your heart but in the end, you will be so glad you read this one. The roller coaster ride of emotions is a lot to get through but hang on tight, it is well worth the ride.It has been a while since I read anything from Molly McAdams, but I do love her and her writing style is one that I love. She can pull you into a story and make you feel like you are sitting in the same coffee shop. So if you haven't read this author yet, what are you waiting for? I hope you enjoy this one too. I can't wait to read the next one in this series.

AMAZING!!! Absolutely Amazing!!!
WOW. This book. Holy crapballs. It's been a long time since I've read a book that hit all my feels, and made me feel like I needed to slow down and savor every single word of it. Yet, I couldn't slow down because I NEEDED more than anything to read this book and devour it until the very end. I could not stop reading until it was done. Couldn't.I freaking adored Rae & Sawyer. ADORED. Rae is closed off to a fault...I can relate. Sawyer also, which I also felt in my very soul...as he had a situation in his life that was a tad similar to something I have been through. So I got him. Fully. Which made me have a huge soft spot for him. (I think I would have regardless..FYI).Their story was so real. I felt like I was there the entire time, and that I was living a story with them. It takes a lot for a book to make me feel that. I FELT IT ALL. The words, the situations, the stories..I felt it all, and lived it with them. All the feels. My mind is still stuck in this story, in all good ways possible. Don't hesitate to grab this book, and sink into the world of Rae & Sawyer. You will not regret it!!

Heartbreaking and heartwarming
Gahhhhh!!! I loved this book. Such an emotional journey. Molly sure knows how to pull on your heart strings. The angst and emotions were coming in all directions.Heartbreaking and heartwarming for both Characters. Both Rae and Sawyer have been through so much and both carrying so much baggage. How easy is it to leave it behind....not so easy as it turns out. Those Dixon boys are going to be giving us some more heartache me feels...bring it on.

A heart wrenching read
I honestly wondered if this story had a HEA because I couldn’t see Rae overcoming her past to allow herself to have a happy future. It was a long and painful journey but the conclusion was oh so satisfying.
