This remote has great buttons, for volume and and channel, but the reset or settings button is right there next to those buttons and an old person constantly pushes that by accident... LOOSING THE SETTING... And since this is a pain to set up every single time... Just be aware, the settings button If pressed by accident loses the settings... WORST DESIGN EVER!!

This remote works well, until the large red sync button is hit. My father-in-law will accidentally hit this, and then we have to start over. But when it is synced, it works well. I would recommend a remote with a smaller sync button if dexterity and vision may be limited.

It seems in order to use this remote you have to point it straight at the TV and be within at least 10 feet. Due to my disability and having to keep the remote on a table it just didn't work out for me.

We have a TV that is missing a remote. Not the end of the world, but remotes make life a little easier.I felt a little frustrated with how many times I had to try to get this to work, I feel that is because I wasn't fully understanding the directions. Once I did it, I feel like I can successfully do it again if I need to. The battery bay threw me for a loop too. Had me face palming after I figured it out.It's really well put together and I use it all the time for my home theater. As some have mentioned, the second red button on here is a reprogram button, so I keep the remote out of the reach of the cats and have had no issue with it.

I bought two of these for an older parent who was either having a hard time seeing or interpreting the small letters on their cable remote. I used the learning feature to have the power and volume buttons control the TV, and set up the the channels to control the cable box.The programming was a slight hassle, mostly because the first remote that I got didn't come with any instructions. Once I found them here, it was OK.It totally did the job and resolved the frustrations with using the TV. So I ordered a second one for the other TV, and that one came complete with instructions.Based on other reviews, we put masking tape over the programming button and the Input button, so they wouldn't get accidentally pressed.

I got this for my elder parent due to the other remotes that aren't waterproof always ended up in the garbage due to major damage from liquids that'd get accidentally spilled on them or the remote would get broke! This remote is a life saver! the pouch to protect the batteries is awesome! Thank You for a wonderful undamaged product! and service!A+ . would buy again!

This is by far the easiest learning remote I have ever programmed. That is saying a lot considering I have owned and programmed dozens of learning remotes. One of the best features for learning is that the remote did not timeout when I was programming it. Most learning remotes have a short timeout period, then you have to start again which is not fun. The remote makes a nice companion to my TiVo remote that can't be programmed to control my stereo. I also added fireplace controls to the remote as well. The remote feels well made, fits nicely in my hand and the big buttons are easy to find and push.
