This is how dried figs are supposed to be
Supermarket dried figs long ago deteriorated into bags of sticky mush - very unpleasant. These, however, are very dry and gorgeously chewy, which is how they should be. They look unattractive, and they are misshapen and variously-sized, but taste wonderful. (They are also a little expensive, but well worth the money) If you are put off by bags of supermarket goo, try these: they will no disappoint.

Really dry but easy to fix
So, these figs are really dry... so I did soak them in water for a minute and did let tom dry off then thy did get eatable so I did try the next thing what about putting them in spirit for a min that work also great… I guess they are made for cooking and can be stored…

Not bad figs, but taste bland!
Figs alright, but taste bland! In future, I will only purchase 'Old India' figs if there are no alternative brands.

Not up to Old India's usual product standard
Some figs very dry and some tasted sour. A pity because Old India products are usually good.

Not the best I have tasted
These figs have a rather bitter taste reminiscent of burned toast. Not recommended.

Absolute necessary to keep in store cupboard
Difficult to get here locally and out of season so being able to keep the dried variety in stock for when required makes life a lot easier when making my speciality bread
