First time did not feel any reaction from henna and I am thankful for it.

What a process! The mixing, sitting, applying, wrapping, rinsing was all very interesting. Nothing was difficult just time consuming. I absolutely love how the color came out but not a fan that my hair was seriously dry afterwards. I might suggest adding a deep conditioner to the kit, it’s been a week and still more dry than normal. Love the color though!!!

If you want to henna your hair without it getting darker, ancient sunrise are the guys. I used henna for years and the oxidation eventually made my hair waaay darker. They have henna down to a science. They include fruit acid powder that is extremely high in antioxidants, to prevent oxidation, and they're the only company to do so. The henna and cassia are also extremely high quality and fresh. The best henna company. More expensive, but worth it. I mean it too, not gettin paid for this haha. It just took me years to find a good henna company so I thought I'd spread the word.

The acid in this kit is a strong antioxidant. So the henna doesn’t oxidize to a darker color over time (like auburn). Kits I have used in the past did oxidize, which on me, in the right lighting, looked reddish purple. Over time, it took on a muddy appearance. It looked like the color of an internal organ, like a liver or something. But not this kit. It’s very vibrant, definitely on the orange side. I have medium brown hair, and it’s a lovely combination.

I've always been a fan of mehandi.com and bought my henna only from them. I am very happy to see them on Amazon now, making it that much easier to get my favorite products. This particular mix is great. I have dark blonde hair and with years of henna, my color has become a deep auburn. I wanted something brighter. And this mix gave me just what I wanted! I have a very nice red hair color now that hasn't oxidized into a dark auburn. Love it!
