Glad I bought it!
A great buy at a price I thought could not be correct it was so low. Found the book so useful many times over for those little jobs that are not worth taking to a garage.

A excellent guide
I bought an "old" Peugeot 406 break. Build in 1997 with 210000 kilometers on the "clock". Not being rich enough to pay the "normal" Peugeot dealers bills and having a degree in mechanical engineering I decided to maintain end repair this car - as so many cars I used before this one- myself.First I bought a revue technique, a not to bad handbook, but lacking the finesse to help you really find the useful way to do the job. And note the French language has nearly no secrets for me !Remembering an in the English language made up handbook made up by a mister Haynes cs that did help me out with other cars, and I tell you doing the job very well, I searched the internet to find a similar one for my 406. Bought a second hand one in an English bookstore on the internet.AND I CAN TELL YOU IT IS DOING THE JOB VERY WELL.You need to know I am an old guy living from a not too big a monthly pension so I did not buy a new book, but a second hand one. You can see the book has been used, but it is in very good and useful shape.This book made my job in repair and maintenance much easier.Thank you, signed : Rudolph Illing.

Wie meine Headliine schon verrät, habe ich noch nicht richtig reingelesen.Da ich nun ein stolzer Besitzer eines 406er Breaks bin wollte ich auch einiges an kleineren Makeln in Angriff nehmen. Zu meinem großen Erstaunen gibt es aber keine deutsche Anleitung,zumindest habe ich Tagelang gesucht und keine gefunden. Somit denn nun eine englische Version.Mit dem Zustand des Buches bin ich mehr als zufrieden. Man sieht zwar,dass es nicht mehr Druckfrisch ist,jedoch weist es auch keine erkennbaren Gebrauchsspuren auf.

Peugeot 406 Petrol and Diesel Haynes Manual
This manual tries to do too much in one book. As a result its a bit patchy. Body repair is not (IMHO) discussed properly.One problem with these cars is that allegedly the entire sides are one pressing so the sills are integral with the rest of the car. Allegedly at one time sill repair sections were available from Peugeot but it is likely that these are no longer available.
