I have been using Valvtect Ethanol Treatment in combination with YamaLube in my outboard motor fuel tank (60gal) for over a year now and have been very satisfied with the results. I also try to avoid using ethanol enhanced fuel whenever possible.

A guy at the local marina told me that they are constantly over hauling and replacing engines due to the ethanol gasoline that is used. IE folks are not putting in a fuel treatment while filling their boat up at the local gas station....

Bottle was leaking

This is a product that I have used for years. It has been outstanding in keeping my I/O in top shape, as well as preserving my rec fuel over extended periods of down time.The bottle was well wrapped, with several layers of protection. Unfortunately the cap covering the measurement side of the bottle was slightly loose and the seal was leaking a bit. Fortunately the inner cellophane wrap contained the leakage with nothing leaking outside the package.If not for the loss of a small portion of Valvetect , a five star rating would have been appropriate!

there is no reason to use anything other than valvtect additive in your marine engine whether or not you are using ethanol fuel. previously I had a Yamaha 2-stroke 115 hp in salt water all the time. when ethanol was introduced, my engine's performance was less than satisfactory. my engine was slow to start, sputtered and just less reliable. when I was 20-40 miles offshore in an 18 foot boat, I needed my engine to start for the trip home. when I started to use valvtect, my engine almost always started first try and ran consistently over the years. now I have a 115 hp mercury 4 stroke and finally found a supplier for valvtect. all the difference in the world---starts more promptly and sounds and acts like a healthier engine. I use non-oxygenated fuel (no ethanol) and I appreciate what valvtect additive adds to my engine's performance. I have tried some of the other additives on the market, but none work like valvtect. I paid for my valvtect with my own money. Just a great product.

I bought this because of an article in Motorcycle Consumer News describing it as an excellent product. Since I rate that magazine very highly, I bought it. The bike runs great so no change in that, so far I am happy with it.

I liked the product, but the bottle it came had a leaky cap. The seals over the mouth of the bottle had smaal holes also,leaked some.

I have used this for a number of years. Works great.
