Love it. Works great

Used this to seed 40 acres of CRP land. It worked well. This is not for use behind your John Deere tractor, it works just fine behind my Gator however! It is for smaller jobs too large for a walk behind or hand thrower. The cable door does not work and must be opened and closed manually. No big deal, you just have to reach under it and "help" the trap door open and close. The cable is not strong enough to operate the door once seed is introduced. Other than that, it works great. Simple and strong ti throws grass and clover quite easily. Very convenient.

I bought my first one about 4 years ago. It works find for one season, the second season it just stopped working and I replaced the wires, got one more planting from it. I bought a 2nd one the year later, got one season of food plots out of it, the motor stopped working. I replaced the wires. Nothing. I use mine only for planting food plots on our hunting land so I use it little. I would not recommend this. Too much time wasted on fixing it.

WOW what a terrible piece of junk. I had to give it one star ( no zero option) offered. First, I stayed on hold for 30 minutes listening to elevator music with advertisements sprinkled in. The wiring harness is too short and the connectors don't mate up with anything. I rigged a wiring extension but never got anything to work. I called company and never was able to get them to understand. They must be a bunch of big birds with too much sand. BUY THIS IF YOU LOVE ANXIETY.

Despite the instructions, it puts together well. Wish the plug was more versatile but it can be adapted. Easy to use.

Sticks out from my JD Gator, control wires need to be longer but work.

The hitch mount does not fit a Polaris 2015 Ranger and there is not enough clearance for the hopper over the back of the Ranger. We were desperate to get some seed spread for fall cattle forage so we welded a new hitch. Then we discovered that the on/off switch is about 4 ft away from the driver! So we re-wired the switch so the seed flow can be controlled by the driver. Not exactly a quick install on a Polaris Ranger (like in the photo)!

Assembly requires about an hour; you'll need metric wrenches. My in-line fuse holder was broken on arrival, and is now held together by duct tape. Our UTV is a John Deere Gator XUV590. I had to remove the tailgate to eliminate interference with a bracket on the spreader as the spreader sits too close to the rear of the rig. I replaced its never-seen-one-of-these-before 12V connector with a standard ag/rv-solar plug so it would fit the 12V power cord used with our sprayer. As others mention, you can't reach its controls from your UTV seat, so I fabricated a long handle to start/stop it from the driver's seat. One 40# bag of fertilizer mostly fills the hopper which is rated for additional weight. After getting it installed, it spreads ok (I drove in low range), and it does what I need (fertilize small sheep pastures).
