Judge a book by the cover
I will freely admit, that I more often than not judge a book by the cover. If I like the cover, then I check a book out more thoroughly. If I don't then I generally let it pass me by.The cover of Alice in Deadland  reeled me in. I was almost ready to buy it when I spotted the first three books in the series available together for a cheaper price than the first on it's own. So here I am a couple of weeks later reviewing this fella. I'll take you through book by book though, just because I can.Alice in Deadland. As other reviewers of this title have mentioned, the writing in this one is almost shouting "first story" at you. There is a lot of repetition here that as a reader I can do without. Having written myself, I know this is a method used to simply up the word count. Personally, I would rather not have this, so I can just enjoy the story as it is.Also, the Kindle version has a lot of typing errors in it. I'm not sure how to describe them, other than imagine if the typist suddenly decided to change some of the letters on their keyboard for random ASCII characters. These things didn't put me off though. beneath all that there is a terrific story here, the characters are great - both human and zombie, and you can't help but want to know more about them. The good in this story completely outweighs the bad, and I would totally recommend this story. If I didn't already have the next in the series, it would be my next purchase. As it is, I do have it and we find ourselves reading...Through the Killing Glass. This one picks up not long after the events in the first, and as readers here will not have read that, I can't go in to too much detail about the plot. Needless to say, there is one and it's a corker.I liked this story more than the first, and I'm glad to report the typist got a new keyboard for this one. There was still a bit of repetition here, but mostly it was to remind those of us with memory loss of events in the first story. If you're wondering whether to buy the first or go for the trilogy, I'd get this - you won't regret it, especially when you get toOff With Their Heads. This one is the third in the series, although technically it's a prequel to the first. If I was getting these individually I would have had a real dilemma over whether to read this one first or third. As it is, I read it third and to anyone facing a similar problem - DON'T read this first (the book, not my review - you should always read my reviews first). Although this one gives us all the back story we need to know the characters and how they got where they ended up - reading it before Alice in Deadland would take so much away from that book's storyline. This one was my favourite though, but it is also the shortest.Overall, get this book. Get this one, or get all of them separately, I'm not fussed. just get them and read them. Then go for the next one ( Hunting The Snark: An Alice in Deadland Adventure (Alice, No. 4) ) which is what I'll be doing.

Ironic take on alice in wonderland
I loved this trilogy, the story remains interesting and I was gutted when I realised it was finished. Only to find that there are more yay!! I like the loose relation to Alice like going down the rabbit hole, hatter and bunny ears. It's different to other zombie novels I have read with the understanding between biters and humans making a refreshing change. I have purchased book 4 already.

Pretty good effort
I have only read the first book so far but I think that it would be good value for money just for that alone. The writing style is somewhat amateurish; the storyline seems to zigzag around; and, some of the scenes are a little too far-fetched: however, I still believe that this is worth reading for entertainment value.

Zombie apocalypse (again)
But don't let that put you off it is a decent story with a semi-sensible backstory and it's cheap. Worth the money and worth the time taken to read it so far.

Excellent
Excellent trilogy of books, highly recommended for fans of zombie apocalypse stories, although hugely different from your average zombie tales.

Amazing plot, well rounded characters
Amazing plot, well rounded characters. I love this trilogy. The third book was a surprise. Its a lot of short stories about the key characters you have met before the Rising happened. Simply wonderful
