The White Album: The Album, the Beatles and the World in 1968

The Beatles were not merely just the top music band ever, they changed the world.
I have followed The Beatles since the 60s, I was living in London when we first learned of them. I have collected everything possible, even paintings by Harrison and Lennon. The Beatles, or more commonly refered to as "The White Album" has been closely studied, to the extent that there are actually university classes that teach about the group, The Beatles. The White Album is a fascinating piece of work, some critics thought the album should have been edited and reduced down to a single album, thankfully, the Beatles were never in the habit of taking music advice from critics or from people that knew nothing about music, the album will always remain as a significant artifact lending great insight to an era. This book appropriately goes beyond the music of the Beatles and provides insight into the numerous ways they directly impacted Western Culture, their influence upon that culture by introducing Eastern influences, in music and society, while remaining in the context of the late 60s.The Beatles realized they possessed a powerful media platform, and governments took notice as well. Beatles spoke out about issues pertaining to war, injustice, inequality, or what ever happened to strike them at a given moment. There is little doubt that the Beatles were not merely just another rock band, they changed the world, liberated minds and creativity, and the world was better for it.
