Nephew loves it
Bought for 27 yo nephew with Down's. He really likes this series: bats, snakes, now scorpions. He can read them himself, but he'd rather you read them to him. These things don't scare him.

My son gives it 5 stars
My almost 4 year old saw this at the library and insisted we borrow it. It became his favourite book so I bought him a copy. It's definitely not geared towards preschoolers but he likes the pictures and pointing at the different types or scorpions and telling us what they are. I've learned a lot from reading it too.

The queen of escorpions approves
My friend’s 4 y/o daughter is obsessed with “escorpions” so I had to give her this as a tribute when I went to visit for a weekend. She approved, I was allowed to live, all is right in the world.

All about Scorpions
My Grandson loved it. Even took it in to school on his VIP day for the teacher to read to the class!

Good Illustrations, Content Fairly Advanced
I bought this for a six and a half year old who is fascinated with nature and is above average in his comprehension of science. He really liked the book and I think he learned a lot about scorpions from it. The illustrations of the different types of scorpions and the little life-sized comparison pics were really great. I felt that the content was too advanced for a kid his age, though (granted the book may have indicated that it was for older children.) There are a lot of scientific terms and information about scorpion mating that didn't work for a six and a half year old. This book would probably be better for kids in the 9-10 year old range and would make a good classroom/science book for kids of that age.
