The comforter is beautiful in quality. The fabric is not satin, but soft cotton. The fabric itself is thick. I would only like to warn you that this comforter is really thick and is better suited to homes in places that get really cold (snow and all). Extremely warm. Love it.Also, mind you, due to the sheer thickness and size, I don't think it is possible or advisable to try wash the queen and king sizes in residential sized washers and dryers.
