Just when you thought you knew everything about mermaids!
This book is the first in a new series spun-off from the Elemental Origins series. It follows one of the girls from that series, Targa, as she returns to Poland to start her new life. A mermaid, she explores her newfound water elemental abilities, while finishing high school online. She also has to learn about the shipping company she inherited and of course, she has her love with Antoni. On top of everything, her mother is becoming increasingly distant, the lure of the sea becoming too much for her to bear.I loved Targa’s story in the last series, and this one does not disappoint. There was plenty of intrigue carried over from the last series, and some new developments to the siren mythology have been added in. Maybe what I love best about this book though is what did NOT happen. Some pretty exciting things happen, and I don’t want to spoil it, but near the end of the book, a chapter ended with a pretty shocking revelation. I expected that to be it - the end, huge cliffhanger getting you to read the next book in the series. I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn’t the end! There was another chapter and an epilogue that tied a couple of things up. Make no mistake, there are still lots of points to be explored and questions remain for the next book, but I felt satisfied with the end of THIS book. Sorry, but cliffhangers leave a book unfinished and I thank Ms. Knorr for not resorting to that when so many authors in this genre do.I’m looking forward to finding out what is in store next for Targa and those she loves. Great start to this new series!

So many twists and turns!
And so many unanswered questions! I can't wait for book the next book!If you have not read the Elementals Origins series (Born of Water, Targa's story, is the first of these), then you are missing out. However one can still enjoy this book on its own separate from the rest. (You will have considerably more questions though!)Targa and her mother, Mira, are unique and captivating characters who are breaking the mold for all of mer and human kind. Targa is a compelling character in her own right, someone anyone can be inspired by.I don't want to give any secrets away about this book so just trust me, this is a captivating series.I know- I read the whole book in the past 12 hours, regardless of the fact that I was at work most of that time, then came home to my children for dinner, chores, homework and several hours of extra curricular activities I help manage....

A HUGE positive recommendation - an interesting and fun book!
I loved this continuation of the Elementals series. Although you could read it and pick upon some of the relationships and what is going on, you will want to read the whole series starting at the beginning with Born of Water. All of the books are absolutely great reads and I can recommend the series fully! In this book you follow Targa and Mira to Poland with new adventures and some very interesting plot twists! Although each book leads you to another, each book is also fulfilling. Leaving you wanting to follow all the girls lives, yet not left with total cliffhangers. This book is yet another in this fantastic series - I can’t say the best yet as they are all amazing, but A.L. Knorr has given us yet another amazing book. Thank you for the great read!

Salt & Stone book 1
Mermaids and Dolphins, I love any books or movies with them. I have been hooked on Abby-Lynn's books since reading her first "Born of Water". I love her plots, character's, descriptions of locations and a way of writing that makes me feel like I'm right there. I have read all of Abby-Lynn's books and can't wait for the next one to come out. Some more of Mira's back story can be read in "Surfacing", "Falling" and "Returning".Salt & Stone is a continuation in Mira, Targa, and Antoni's lives after Mira and Targa return to Poland. You will find new character's and twists to the plot, and some things that will totally surprise you. I recommend this book as well as all of her series. Enjoy!!!

Love it
Targa has moved to her new home in Poland. There has been a break in at the mansion, nothing was taken but the chain and lock were stretched until they broke. Now the museum, with the artifacts on display has been broken into and only one necklace was taken. It wasn't even the most expensive one. Targa gets after the thief and gets a very large surprise.

Captivating book, you can't put down until you're done.
Truly, the amazing author Abby L. Knorr does not disappoint! In fact, her new book, Salt and Stone is more thrilling now, than ever before. Full of mysteries and myths and even Atlantis and the plot thickens. Mira has always been an enigmatic persona ever since the beginning and Targa is a bit mature now too, and knows what she really is which I really liked. Plus I also love the new character in the series. I can't wait for the 2nd new book very shortly, Salt and Sovereign. Over all, this book is truly fascinating and definitely 5 stars.

Captured my attention again!
Once again I was enthralled with A.L. Knorr's imagination as she spins another tale that carries one along to an ending that leads you wanting more to come. Her characters make it real along with the adventures that keep it interesting. The turn of events in this story of Targa gave it a wow factor. If your curious read the story. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review of this book because I love to read and endorse an author's writing I enjoy without revealing to much of the story to not to ruin it for others.

You will love this book...
The Elemental series opened us up to the lives of Targa and her friends. The series was so very, very good. Glad to see that the author has decided to continue on with Targa and her life as she reaches a new stage of her life and affections. The story is riveting and you will be swept away as you read the pages of this gem. There are some twists and turns, but you will see them as you read. I highly recommend both this book and this author to you. You will definitely not be disappointed with either.

Targa's story continues
A continuation of Targa's story by Abby Lynne Knorr, without giving the story away what a twist at the end and leaves us asking lots of questions!!!! roll on the next part of this series and also eagerly waiting more on the adventures of the other heroes in the Elemental series. These book are primarily sold as young adult books but as a retired woman I don't see why we shouldn't have a bit of fantasy in our lives, I love them

Brilliant continuation of Targa's saga
Loved this continuation of the Elementals series, focussing on Targa's future in Austria. New characters to get to know and a deep mystery surrounding her family past. I would definitely recommend reading the Elementals books first so you know exactly what you've missed and are in the best possible place to continue Targa (and Mira's) story as their life begins its next stage. Brilliant writing from Abby-Lynn Knorr, this is the first of a whole new saga and I can't wait to see the next one!

Wow!
Wow! What a book! What can I say? Targa's story continues, as heiress to the Polish mansion and fortune. Mustn't give the story away, but a good storyline runs throughout. Can't wait for the next episode.
