Deluxe Chess - Once a Pawn a Time by ScienceWiz Products

I purchased this set for a Montana grandson because I had seen the one a Michigan grandson has. Why is there no chessboard? Sure the books and playing pics are great; however, there was no numbered chessboard as described in the book, which is key to a 5 year old learning the game. I'm very disappointed.

Excellent, I am teaching my 6 yr. old grandson to play Chess, I have learned a few new moves too.This is a fun set great story it's an easy way to learn how to play chess.

Be careful what you receive. I paid $34.99 and got the $19.99 set. Feel fortunate that I noticed it while my grandson was playing with it the first time. Not very happy. Will return.

This is absolutely, hands down, the best way to teach someone how to play chess, especially children with short attention spans. we had tried to teach our daughter how to play chess and she would often get bored or frustrated. Enter Auntie with this for Christmas. Daughter read the books, figured it out, and was playing chess. We aren't masters by any sort, but she can play. We can all play. Going to purchase this for gifts coming up. absolutely recommend it.
