Vlad (The V Games Series #1) Paperback – 23 Feb. 2018

Another fantastic story by these amazing authors; Vlad just captured my attention from the get go, the ruthless narcissistic heir to the Vasiliev family. A Russian organised crime family who are into people trafficking amongst other activities.Once again secrets and skeletons in cupboards are rife as the story unfolds into uniting the Vasiliev family with the female heir of the Volkov family; a family that is notorious for it's vodka. The story is the build up to the V Games (an interpretation of the Hungar Games); a game invented by the head of the Vasiliev family to kill off the weak. The game which saw Viktor's death faked as he was banished to America (as revealed in Pretty Broken Doll). Here we get to meet Vikor's family and the circumstances surrounding his banishment as well the build up to the next Games.There were quite a lot of characters which confused me at the start; who belonged to which family. The authors do provide a who's who at the beginning and this is very useful as it gives an insight into what each of the families are notorious for. If you loved the dolls series you will love this even more.Whilst the story doesn't finish on a cliff hanger par se it does lead nicely into the next book promising even more ruthless killing as only the strong and underhand will survive!

Gripping from the get go, the battle for supremacy is all that matters, ruling this bunch of violent neanderthals called Mafia.Vlad is brutal, violent and just plain scary. His personality failure is, he's not the master of his impulses and quick to temper.He is forced into an arranged marriage, the only problem is that he is in lust with the younger sister.The characters, dialogue and storyline was really good.My only gripe is irana, she's only 18 and straight into breath play but has to have her bedroom door open because she's claustrophobic.The violence and brutally of women is just shocking. I am hoping Diana will turn the tables and bring the men to their knees.Diana was the best character and I hope the author keeps her strong and vengeful because the men in this story definitely deserve a good spanking!A cracking story, worth a look.This story contains violence, murder, rape, strong sex scenes with breath play, human Trafficking and abuse.

What a start to a brand new series by the fabulous dark duo Ker Dukey and K Webster!Captivated from the beginning I was grabbed by the throat and dragged into this brand new story that I couldnt put down.The characters were addicting, I found myself really drawn in to Vlad and Irina's story, the wanting and the forbidden aspect to their relationship was so well written it was absolutely decadent and so freaking sexy. The dynamic and chemistry between them was sizzling!Vlad is wonderfully dark and sinful with twisted pleasures and a black soul which captures the light of the sun. Even in all his violence he was so captivatingly attractive. These authors know how to create seductively dark characters that shouldnt but do make me swoon.There was lots of drama, twisted little schemes and all the secrets of the characters and the way the families worked was fantastic to read. The intricacy of how they all linked and worked together and against each other was so in depth and thought out it was flawless.I loved the concept of the V Games and how it is thr big link to family, honour and pride in all its wicked brutality.This was the perfect start to a series I will no doubt be reading to the end!

Vlad’s story sucked me straight in from the get go and held me captivate till the last page. It was all kinds of twisted. Not for the faint hearted but I loved every minute of the story. It was full of drama, scandal, and steamy encounters.I always get excited about co-writes. These two authors are amazing writing by themselves, but together they’ve taken things to a whole new level of awesomeness.

I am sorry to say but it wasn't my cup of tea. The story was nice but I hated some parts. For example when she was filing so guilty she kiss him but keep do it or when she was sleeping with him with the excuse that her sister was doing the same.I didn't see any difference between him and his father and I didn't understand why she loved him.

Another good book from two of my favourite authors and a decent start to a good series. Well written with great characters who were delicious, addictive, sinful and evil.Vlad Vasiliev is the eldest son of the most powerful Russian family and to get even more power and standing with other mafia families he is to marry the eldest Daughter in the Volkov Family - Diana. Lots of lies, secrets, and problems emerge in the upcoming story that will have you holding your breath in anticipation.Vlad was the most sinful exciting sexy alpha man and I LOVED him so much.I feel there is a lot more excitement coming further on in the next book which I am looking forward to. This book didn't wow me as much as I was hoping. I felt it was a little slow and could have had more angst, more gore, more oomph for a Russian mafia book but I still enjoyed it.

Wow so explosive. I think i both loved and hated this book in equal parts. There are a few characters in the book I really didn't take to but I still loved reading about them. It took me a really long time to warm up to Vlad I spent most of the book thinking I hated him but changed my mind in time. I adored the relationship between him and Irina.Another character I disliked was Diana but I would like to see what happens in time as her character changes and progresses in this series. All round great book I enjoyed hating and loving the characters equally.

To start the V games. Vlad is hard and vicious to those that cross him, in this mafia arranged marriage Is there to strength and gain. He is doing what is right for his family. However temptation is under his roof and feeling get mixed up with events colliding, there is an explosive end.

I was soo not ready for this book to be over. It was an epic mafia romance read. One that will definitely blow you mind.

What a filthy and twisted sexy read. Wow these two amazing authors have a lot going on in this story. Kept me reading well into the night trying to figure out what comes next. Not sure I cared for Vlad at first. But he shows his true self thru irinia. A must read.

Some of my all-time favorite dark romance reads involve the power, animal passions and sheer savagery of an impossible romantic love within the culture of real and/or mythicized Russian organized crime organizations. If written well, these men are some of the hottest über Alpha beasts that make a girl go uhmmm and ahhhh… Bal'shoye spaseeba.I will say that this duo of authors, which are new to me, have a wonderful grasp of all the elements that make a story from this unique flavor of dark romance so enticing and tasty. Of course, the most important element is that dark, dangerous, merciless man of violence, while being one beautiful animal, the dark hero. The title of the book bears his name. He is Vlad Vasiliev. “Vile. Vicious. Villainous.”He is everything a girl could dream about if you were a girl so inclined. He is fiercely loyal to whom he loves, and this list is very short. He understands the rules of the game he must play to maintain the power he holds. He knows when and if he can rewrite the rules to favor his desires. He will kill efficiently for expediency and to insure his protection and protection of his own. Men and only strong men have the right to rule and women are there for comfort, amusement or to breed more men. He has little or no use for women, even his own sister has become a huge disappointment in her demeanor and trivialities.We are introduced to the First families of Russian society at the outset of the book. We are also introduced vaguely to a tournament-like game of violence and sexual perversions that players representing the families enter for nebulous reasons relating to power. This is a life or death struggle…for indeed Vlad’s own brother whom he dearly misses appeared to have perished in this game. It was his Father who began the games.” My father may think he designed these games—not just The V Games, but every game in life. What he never counted on was for someone to change the rules. New Rule Number One: You hurt my brother, I [effing] hurt you.”The story twists and turns along an intricate plot line weaving the fate of the families as dark sometimes disturbing revelations are brought to light. Within the intrigue is the betrothal of Vlad to Diana and the fact that Diana’s little sister Irina has secretly crushed on Vlad since she was a little girl.” I’ve been watching him from the background since I could walk. Learning, deconstructing, and pining despite my brain wishing I didn’t. But it’s impossible not to. He’s my favorite addiction. I take him in like air to my lungs and breathe.”Diana was always the glamorous one who shone like a jewel. Everyone was drawn to her brilliance and if ever there was going to be a Russian woman who was going to break the mold and be worth more than a broodmare, it would be her. She would also bring her sister along with her, for they were both very close to one another.The attraction Irina felt toward Vlad was mutual and despite his duty to the family in his betrothal to Diane the light of Irina felt like the “sun” to him. She was so much her sister’s shadow, she was nicknamed as such and accepted herself as a shadow. Vlad cannot help himself around Irina and so it begins… the illicit, forbidden sex, the conflict of loyalties for Irina and it’s all oh so addictive, dizzyingly passionate and Hotttt!!!“’When you’re staring at the sun, you can’t see a shadow.’ His voice is low and husky.”The authors have the readers breathless with how well they write about the first time they innocently, maybe not so innocently, make eye contact until Irina captures Vlad’s heart and soul being the perfect and ideally matched partner in erotic adventures. You’d do more than paint me, you’d paint yourself all over my soul.’”Told in alternating POV’s this is the heady dangerous stuff that good girls really should not dare to dream about but sometimes well…you know…the bad boy who loves the good girl…Now the bad boy is a little bit better and the good girl a lit bit badder. Yeah…It’s like that.

I instantly fell in love with Vlad and Irina love story. Vlad is pretty intense and brutal character but you can't help being on his side. Although i don't condone his money making ways, i understand Irina's deep love for him and his obsession for her. A very sexy read too, i really enjoyed the steamy scene.
