Batman: The Dark Knight Saga: Deluxe Edition (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns)

I owned this graphic novel right off the shelf back in the 80's, 1st Edition and threw it it away. You can say I'm profoundly sorry I did that. We all do things that make us want to kick our teeth in but the best thing a person can do is go back and own the media again! Which I did with this purchase! The Dark Knight. Classic. I'm back, just like Bruce Wayne. Frank Miller A+, Art A+, Style, Absolute A+.

What's there to say. Gives real depth to the Dark Knight saga, that Christian Bale began very well on the big screen. The Dark Knight saga made me a fan of Batman again. Also great story pacing and dialogue

the dark knight returns is still my favorite comic book story of all time and is also the first time batman fought superman in comics. the dark knight strikes again is a fun read for batman fans, but tries to do too many things in too little time. some concepts in DK strikes again were sweet, but better executed in other stories. for example, the concept of an older hal jordan as green lantern being so powerful that he left earth and created a world for himself is very cool, but better executed in kingdom come (which I also highly recommend). DK strikes again also falls short of the first DK because of the brutal betrayal of the character of dick grayson.

Out of all the trade paperbacks and hardcover comics I have purchased over the years this is one of my favorites. It's a must read story for any batman fan and with all of the extra content held in this edition it is a must buy

The reviews here are for the dark Knight returns. I will be reviewing the newest rehash of previously released material DC has graced us with. Batman The Dark Knight Saga Deluxe Edition. This is the exact same book as Absolute Dark Knight, it is just the size of a regular hard cover graphic novel. You get the same introduction by Frank Miller & the exact same suplimental materials that were published in absolute dark knight. So you get the dark knight returns & the dark knight strikes again along with the same special features as absolute dark knight. The only thing different is the new dust jacket that has an awesome picture of superman & batman squaring off. That is an exact pic of the original cover for the dark knight returns issue 4. I won't get into reviewing the stories because we all know that they are amazing. All & all if you don't have absolute dark knight or you can't afford to get it. I would suggest buying this. But if you already have it. Don't bother with this. There is NO new materials or introduction or afterwards. Nothing new here. But if you don't own absolute dark knight than this is chok full of supliment materials. And for around 30 dollars on amazon it is well worth it.

Hard cover edition, looks great, the paper sleeve looks great as well; but the hard-cover is so awesome looking i almost want to take the dust jacket off. The actual graphic novel is great, i've already read it several times before this purchase as well as seen the animated film, but needed this in my collection.

I give this 5 stars for the quality of the Hardcover book, and mainly for the "The Dark Knight Returns" first half. While do I enjoy the less serious, no depth or deep meaning "sit back and enjoy" story style of the "The Dark Knight Strikes Again", it throw me way off reading it as a continuation of the first Dark Knight Miller "take" on Batman that so changed Batman and comic heroes in general....

Wow what a good book. I've never had the chance to read it, but after watching the animated movie I knew I had to, and it's so worth it. This collection is really well put together and worth every penny.

Commande correct. Arriver un poil tard mais le produit est très propre. Je recommande. La BD quand a elle doit être possédée par n'importe quel fan de Batman.
