OMG, for a few bucks I fixed my miserable computer internet speed issue due to a bad wireless card.
I have an 18 month old Lenova ThinkPad Edge with 12GB memory. Since its purchase this thing ran like a dog on the internet! It ran the worst on my Comcast home network. It ran okay on other networks, but at home it would run under 1Mbps download speed running on the 2.4GHz dual network. Plus this computer did not have the ability find the 5GHz network (it did not have a dual band wireless card.) Other computers in our home would run on the wireless at about at 26 Mbps. Finally after getting a Comcast technician out to the house, they convinced me that there was something about my computer's wireless card that was not right.I looked up getting a new card, but then I saw this simple solution. Install the software, plug in the Dual Band SeoJack and voila! Problem fixed! Check out the photo, what a quick cheap repair. Now it is running at 62 Mbps on the 2.4GHz network. I am thrilled!

Disappointed - Frequent Drops and BSODs in Windows 10 Pro - But excellent customer support
I am reviewing this adapter basically to warn future buyers of issues I am having with it.I have a D-Link DGL-4500 Router connected to Optimum Online running at 54 MBPS. My laptopis located less than 20 feet from the router. I am running Windows 10 Pro on a Dell laptop whichis just over 1 years old. The router is capable of both 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHZ but it is an older model and can only connect at one speed or the other. Since I have other devices connected which do not have any issues and cannot connect at 5 GHZ, I cannot set it to run at 5 GHZ.The network card I have in my Dell only seems to provide top transmission rates less than 9 MBPS and at times it is even less than that. So, I purchased the USB network adapter hoping it would solve my speed issues. When it works, it works great! I can get speeds in excess of 30 MBPS consistently! BUT, the bad news is that it will NOT remain connected to my router! At times the loss of connectivity is occasional. At other times it is severe and I cannot reconnect it at all without disabling /re-enabling and sometimes even requiring a reboot. I tried fiddling with the advanced properties of the driver; especially the last 2 items. I set one of the values to disabled and the other one to a value of 1. That helped quite a bit but did not resolve the issue. Also, Windows started throwing exceptions and I was getting, almost on a daily basis, the infamous BSOD. The BSODs were associated with network modules so I suspect there may also be some Windows 10 compatibility issues with the driver as well. The modules involved were tcpip.sys (TCP/IP Driver) and mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll (Intel Microcode Update Library). Once I uninstalled the USB adapter, the BSODs have stopped. So, here is what I see as the PROs and CONs:PROs:1) Fast speed when connected.2) Easy to setup, simply install the driver from the CD, and plug it in!CONs:1) Frequent network disconnections2) Sometimes impossible to re-connect without taking significant manual actions3) Occasional / frequent BSOD4) Informed by Intel that actually installing this adapter would void my Dell warranty, so I removed it to avoid bigger future concernsUpdate:.I am updating my review of this adapter mostly because of the customer focus and excellent support available for this product. We have had many conversations and they have tried diligently to assist me with the issues I have outlined previously. When connected at 2.4G my throughput was around 30-35 MBPS. If you can connect at 5G, these adapters can get you speeds close to Ethernet speed, in my case around 50 MBPS and some of the disconnect issues are greatly reduced as well.Unfortunately for me, it seems that Windows 10 is the only real sticky point. Stability issues with Windows 10 continue to cause frequent BSOD interruptions when using these adapters. The manufacturer is looking into this issue. I really do love the quality of these adapters and would recommend them if/when the Windows 10 compatibility issues can be resolved. If that issue is resolved, I would definitely rate this product as 5 stars and highly recommend it.

A nice product - for about a month. RIP, now useless dongle!
Too good to be true, I suppose. Purchased in October - worked well. Then it died in September. Even at this price, it is not worth the money or the frustration.Edited on October 25 - This was a fine product until it inexplicably stopped working. After I submitted a low rating and review, the vendor contacted me with an offer for a refund - which was indeed completed. This was unexpected, and very kind, and deeply appreciated. I am changing my review to 3 stars - I clearly had a faulty version of the product, but this is likely not the case with all of them.My final word - the price is right - give it a try - and if things don't work out, this is clearly a vendor that cares about customer satisfaction.

Fixed my life.
I downloaded the driver from one of the comments on here since I don't have a cd drive. Then I plugged in the device. Then I followed the instructions in the manual. Very easy and my internet connection has improved. I'm streaming a TV show now. Thank you SeoJack. This fixed my life. *thumbs up*HOW TO DISABLE YOUR BUILT IN WIRELESS ADAPTER SO IT DOESN'T TAKE OVERTo disable the drivers, do this:Go to the Windows Control Panel.Double-click System. ...Choose the Hardware tab. ...Choose Device Manager.Click the + next to Network Adapters. ...Double-click the wireless component. ...Click the Device Usage drop-down arrow.Select Do Not Use This Device (Disable).

DO NOT BUY unless you want constant harassment for dissatisfaction!
Update: BEWARE SELLER WILL NOT STOP HARASSING YOU FOR A POOR REVIEW. No response = NOT interested in any of your offers!!!!!When it's able to receive signal in the 2.4GHz band it works fine but it's unable to connect to the 5GHz band even if it can see it if the the 2.4GHz is slightly faster (as I was told by a network tech since I was having so many connection issues). The tech thinks that the adapter is programmed to automatically do this and there was no way for him to manually force the adapter to connect to the 5GHz band unless he changed the setting to only connect to 5GHz, which wouldn't work for me because my home network only has the 2.4 single band. I searched around for the driver online since my pc doesn't have a disc drive to no avail. I was hoping installing that would possibly solve the problem but I can't even try that. Considering that it's unclear if it's ever capable of connecting to the 5GHz, I returned it.
